Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

When the family comes down for breakfast they see a heart decorated kitchen. I serve heart shaped pink pancakes and pink milk. They get a cute package next to their plates that have a fun red or pink shirt for them to wear to school that day. Their lunches will have a love note from me in it and a heart shaped sugar cookie.
Then we do a special spaghetti dinner with a pretty dessert. The kids love it each year and my husband and I can figure we can celebrate it another night when everything isn't so crowded.

My little guy is just starting to master the art of scribbling. I think we are going to break in his new Tadoodles paint brushes by letting him "paint" on some paper that I'll cut into hearts for our Valentines this year. It will be a photo op for sure!!!

my tradition is to make a special deal out of breakfast - tablecloth, candles, treats- because who knows what the day will bring with sports or club mtgs, etc. And definately love notes. :)

Nothing too traditional for Valentine's Day around here....but we do enjoy making Valentine's for my kids' friends.....and my husband and I make a little Valentine for each other. V-Day is just one of those holidays where we sorta celebrate it without spending much $$ at all!

Hey Ally, when my grandmother was alive we had a big family celebration for every holiday. (even Valentine's day and the 4th of July). For valentines day she always got us a box of chocolates. I have continued the tradition with my kids. I sure miss those celebrations with Grandma.

This will be our last year celebrating Valentine's Day on our own (we will celebrate next year with our new baby). I want to make it extra special. Maybe dinner, or a weekend away. I always create something handmade for my husband, usually in the Valentine's spirit. This year I have collected almost every picture we have of us together and will make an album. Actually, I better get started, I have a lot of photos!

I always make heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast and my husband and I celebrate with mimosas in the morning too. I get each one of my sons a hear-shaped box of candy and then either we make it family dinner (if it falls during the week) or just he and I will go out to dinner (if it's a weekend).

When my daughters were toddlers, I would tint their milk pink on Valentine's Day and make heart-shaped muffins or brownies. Even though they are now teenagers, they want me to carry on this tradition and so I do. Thanks for sharing~

Fun products and fun giveaways! I always let me daughter pick out valentine's for her class and a little treat. I always give my daughters and husband a card and some goodies, whether it be candy or a little gift.
And of course I'm going to decorate a little this year and try some fun crafts for the girls.

Good Morning!
Even though I'm 22, I still buy the cartoon valentine cards from the drugstore to hand out to my friends/classmates/coworkers. They get so excited to see a part of their childhood back in their hands. This year, I plan to alter the valentines to make them more personal/crafty.

We keep it low key for Valentine's Day, and I try to concentrate on slipping each of the kids a little treat with a note that tells 3 things about them that I love. Usually I do something similar for my husband. I just like to take the opportunity to say out loud, "I love you because . . . ."

We try and make everyday valentine's day around our house, making the effort to show our love for one another everyday- not just one special day of the year.

I celebrate Valentine's Day with my boyfriend but every Valentine's Day weekend he has to go to a trade show, so we normally go away the weekend before or after and just watch movies, relax and go to out to dinner. I think Valentine's Day shouldn't be so busy and caught up in all the hooplah, I believe that it should just be about spending good quality time with the one you love.

I love Valentine's Day now that I'm married and have two daughters. I have a box of cute pink decorations that I get down every year. I ask my husband for a very small and very fancy box of chocolates that I can savor.

I usually do all kinds of little things all throughout the day.
Starting with breakfast, they have pink milk (either food coloring or strawberry flavored) and pancakes that are heart-shaped or pink (red food coloring).
My kiddos get love notes and a special treat in their lunch box. My hubby gets love notes in his truck and coat pocket. = )
Then I make little heart cakes (most times) and we'll have them for dessert.
When the kids get home, we go through their Valentines and will most times do a fun craft.
Dinner is a heart-shaped pizza with the pink 7up.
I just try to celebrate in little simple ways throughout the day, they love the surprises!

Such fun stuff this week. Thanks for sharing. :)
I always write a "love note" to my babies and stick it in album along with a photo of them (and me) on Valentine's Day.
