Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

my husband & I go to dinner. There are only a couple of times a year that we go out just the two of us, so it is very special to us.

We don't have a particular tradition for Valentine's Day. I often get my boys (who are now teens) either a jumbo Hershey Kiss or a jumbo Hershey Bar. I tell them daily that I love them and my husband. It's not just reserved for Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day is the dating anniversary of me and my fiance.
I usually stick a love note in his lunch box and make a special dinner for two. We watch his and hers movies all night.
Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity!

I usually buy a couple cute little gifts for the kiddos, and my husband and I go out for a nice dinner. My sons birthday is 2 days after Valentines, so I think we will make our dinner a family event at Chuck E. Cheese (sounds like a nice romantic night, right?)

Our anniversary is on February 15th - So we usually celebrate Valentine's Day with our children. I start by making a deluxe waffle breakfast with lots of chocolate, whipped cream, strawberries, etc. I like to decorate the table for them and place a valentine on their plates. We often make a fondue dinner that evening also. They LOVE the breakfast and talk about it all year. I love how excited they get...

Hi Ali!
To celebrate Valentine's Day I usually do a handmade card for my husband and we plan a special little dinner out together that is unique. Usually we try a brand new restaurant, but last year we went to a fondue restaurant and it was amazing!
If I have time I usually make some cookies or cupcakes for him too, but usually that's the day after Valentine's!
Have a great day!

Well, hubby and I don't really celebrate Valentine's day. However, Brayden is 16 months now, and its on a Saturday this year, so I've been trying to come up with something sweet and creative to do with them and start a new tradition! And I'll start by looking for ideas through these comments! So thanks in advance everybody! ;o)

This will be my first year in 14 of being single. Instead of focusing on that, I think I will focus on the ones who have poured love into me. My 4 kids and I will make cookies, have a nice candlelit dinner, and remember how people have shown us love in our hardest time.

We don't do anything really special for Valentine's Day, but my husband and I usually just go out to dinner somewhere and I like to get some chocolate covered strawberries for the occasion too since we both love them.

One word - chocolate! But also - for the past few years my kids (3 of them) and I have been making some sort of paper decorations. Now that there is a collection going on, I love putting them out to see what they did at the age of 3 and now at 7. So cool to see the progression. But one thing that stays the same - the amount of glitter glue used - a lot of it.

I try to serve up a day's worth of heart shaped meals on Valentines Day. We have 5 little kids so they are really excited about food in fun shapes. I haven't done this year's menu but last year we had heart shaped muffins for breakfast, grilled cheese cut into hearts for lunch and heart shaped hamburgers for dinner. And we always give dad a "heart attack" on his car or our bedroom door with everyone leaving heart shaped notes about why they love dad.

My mother and I always exchange little valentines, (I also still get an Easter basket and stocking stuffers and halloween candy - I'm 30). Just a cute thing she's always done that makes me laugh. This year I altered Target mailboxes for mom and grandma to fill with candy. Then sweetie and I usually stay in, finding it easier to show our appreciation for each other with a homemade dinner and desert and maybe a movie than out in a crowded restaraunt.

my husband and i don't do the "traditional"chocolates and flowers...just not us. we try to just re-connect and make time for each other. our son is *just* at the age this year when i can start doing some fun stuff. he's 3 and has a pre-school class, so i'm SUPER excited to share all the fun/cute things my mom used to do for us at v-day!

A tradition carried on from my childhood is to have a box of good chocolates at the table when you get up in the morning for Valentine's Day. When I was a kid it was Fannie Mae. Now it's Godiva or something else special. When my son was little, I would get him a cool picture book every year with the love theme. Usually they were parent/child love and full of beautiful art.

WEll this year will be the first that my child is in a group setting on a regular basis. So he and I are putting together little goodie bags for his classmates as well as for him so he is not left out. This is generating a lot of excitement. Did I mention that he is three. Then he and I will make some form of Valentine cookies for the goody bags as well as for daddy. Then we will make a nice dinner for daddy. We will have nice fun music playing in the background and just ahve a roaring good time.
These are just a few of the things that we will implement as traditions over the years to come. Lotsa love!!!
