Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

V-day is a time to tell family and friends how much they mean to me. Us single girls usually get together for a fun night in -avoiding the crazy restaurant crowds (and prices!). We do a pot luck dinner, and then play games til the wee hours. We laugh, we tell stories, we share our time with each other. That's the most precious gift we can give!

This year for Valentine's day I am going to continue a tradition that my Mom used to do. Every year she would make cookies with little love messages and them and we would get one in our lunch every day for about a week. I used to love it, and want my kids to have the same.

In Denmark we do not celebrate Valentines much - even though it has been more and more commen the last couple of years...

This year we will be at a show, so nothing special will be done. I do plan however to have a card for my mom and dad sent in advance and one of the dear friend who is giving us shelter.

Wonderful things to see today! Thanks for sharing! I usually leave little love notes and goodies in assorted locations for my hubby to find throughout the day... the coffemaker, his lunchbox, his steeringwheel, etc. We will eat a yummy dinner together by candlelight, after the baby is in bed. I am not sure my 14 month old is old enough to know anything is going on yet, so I probably won't do much until next year for him!

Unfortunately, my husband has been working at the Miami boat show every Valentine's Day for the last 5 years so we have not been together. I will do something special for the kids..maybe some heart shaped pancakes or something.

Hi Ali! Hope your day is going well :) My hubby's birthday is Feb. 17, so we usually go out a few days before Valentine's Day-that way we can avoid the rush. But we still exchange cards & little trinkets on 2/14. For my son, Ethan-I make heart shaped pancakes and also try to serve all red, pink & white foods that day-apples, cranberry juice, etc. You get the idea. It's the little things that count. :)

Wow! Cute stuff! Thanks for sharing more new products! I would have to say that up until last year, this holiday was just another day at our house but last year my daughter and I spent the morning with the other moms and kids in our playgroup baking sweets for our sweeties (the Dads). A lot of sprinkles were involved but so much fun! My husband took us to dinner that night to celebrate so I guess that might be what we do again this year. My daughter is also a budding crafter and helped me alter some big chipboard letters to make a "love" mobile to hand from the kitchen chandelier. Fun stuff!

I buy my husband boxer shorts every year. We're high school sweethearts, so it felt "naughty" buying underwear for my boyfriend when his mother would see it doing laundry! Now I'm the one washing the underwear, but I still smile when I'm folding the Valentine's Day boxers.

We celebrate every Valentine's Day by making little cards for the grandparents with the kids pictures in them. I make cards for the kids and hubby as well, and then we usually download some "gourmet" recipes off the computer and all of us cook together. The kids always set the table with our nice dishes and of course, candlelight.

Valentine's Day is left up to my hubby. Sometimes it's a quiet movie at home with a handmade gift. Other times it's a big fancy dinner and night on the town.

Our traditions include chocolate chip heart shaped pancakes for breakfast for my daughter. This is the first year in a long time that I will be spending the day with an adult love, thankfully he likes pancakes too. :)

I set the table with fancy valentine plates and centerpiece. We have a "romantic" dinner with our four children and I always hide their valentines (chocolates, candies, or games) under the cloth napkin on their plate. The anticipation of seeing what is under that lumpy napkin is fun to watch.

1- make heart shaped pancakes for my kids' breakfast (and hot chocolate w/ heart sprinkles on the whipped cream after dinner).
2-take my mom out to tea
3- share a loving dinner at home w/ my hub as we drink champagne, eat something chocolate and toast to another valentine's day w/ a life partner we love and laugh with after 20+ years!!
would love to win any of those fabulous prizes!!!

My granddaughter and I get together to do her Valentine's Day cards for all the children in her class. Last year I also made a mini album for my husband for Valentine's Day and if I managed to win that cute little mini "he said, she said" album that would be a perfect addition to his collection (a collection of only one so far).
