Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

I don't have a particular tradition I suppose, but I do try and fill little gift boxes (Chinese takeout variety) each year with some sweet treats and a nice little love note for each of my 4 boys. I think the notes go a long way toward telling them each how much I love them :)

Not any big traditions here. This year I bought the little mailboxes in the Target Dollar Spot and am planning to fill them with treats and a "love note."

we have had some pretty crazy valentines days. so for the past few years we have just taken it easy and spent time together at home instead of trying to get out and about with everyone else that is out celebrating. it's been good just to hang out and not have all these expectations about at night out just a quiet evening at home

Last year my daughter and I made a heart shaped pizza for dinner with Dad. It looked pretty funny but we want to do it again this year. We had a lot of fun and watched an old Doris Day, Rock Hudson movie together. The three of us have a great time. Of course there is some sort of chocolate for desert.

valentine's day is different every year for us...we have so much tradition with the other holidays. so we just go with the flow, whether it be heart shaped pancakes or little handwritten notes. love the products you've chosen! mary

Valentine's at our house is a family holiday. We celebrate by making Red velvet cupcake and delivering them to friends and neighbors, having a fancy candle lite dinner with our young kids and talking about the importance of being kind. Our theme for the holiday "love one another"

No kids yet so every day is like Valentine's Day at our house (ha ha!!). We usually celebrate more the day after V Day as that's my birthday. Thanks for the chance to win (love that stuff from the "My Dear" line - those deer stamps are so adorable!).

So, since my husband's birthday falls on the 10th, we usually celebrate both that and valentine's day by going in between the dates to the coast and staying for a couple days in a hotel. The kids love it and it's a good time to just relax and enjoy our family.

While I enjoy making cards and always sent my Mom something special when she was still with us, for my hubby and me, the big day to celebrate is February 11 - the day we met 22 years ago. We often go out to dinner or try to take a mini vacation. This year, we're heading to our beach house on the 12th so we'll have a combined celebration playing on the beach with our Sheltie (running in the waves is his most favorite thing to do!) and dining at one of our favorite restaurants.

We usually try to have a Valentine's Day dinner -something red like spaghetti and then I make a chocolate desert. Yum! We get the girls a little something and hubby and I exchange cards!

My husband and I are not too romantic so we don't usually do much for Valentine's Day but I do like the excuse to do 'lovey' things for the kids. I make a special dinner with a valentiney dessert and they get small happy gifts. The past couple years I have made handmade cards for each member of my family and that is important to me. I love the colors and simpleness of this holiday. Its my favorite to do the school party for.

My hubby and I usually put together little treats for the kids and they get them that morning or when they get home from school (depending on whether or not they have school that day). Hubby and I usually put together inexpensive little gift baskets for each other usually containing COUPONS (this is his favorite gift of the year...that is all I am gonna say), CD's, sometimes candles and candy .... :)

Ever since my husband and I began dating, I have made ice cream sandwiches for our valentines treat. I make a really good cookie recipe, then splurge on an a expensively tastey ice cream. Yum-O! We now have three kids who love to help make them. It has become a fun Valentine activity that the whole family looks forward to.

with three little ones we are over the whole "go out to eat" thing. We will celebrate this year with a glass of wine and a movie after the kids go to bed! For our kids... decorating valentines and sugar cookies will be on the to do list!

Each year is different. Some years we cook our own romantic dinner. Some years we go out to a nice restaurant. But every year I make my husband a card to show him how much I love him.

Typically nothing special. But this year I am inspired to do something special for my 3 year old son. Not sure of what yet though.

My boys are 8 and 10 and the oldest was bron Feb 16 so we keep Valentine's simple. I buy the boys each a small heart-shaped box of chocolate, DH gets a Starbucks card and choc, I usually get choc and a book. Lately we have had heart-shaped pizza for dinner. Usually it's a school night but since it is Sat this year, we will have a movie night (we do this every Fri so I am on the hunt for a special movie that the boys would enjoy). And we ALWAYS make their classroom valentine's.
I tried to buy Eva's "He Said, She Said" album kit but it must have flown off the shelves. Bummer- it's looks amazing.
