Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

For Valentines day, me and the boy go to dinner and then exchange a small token. Afterwards we watch a movie and cuddle on the couch. Simple but one of the best nights of the year.

On Valentine's day three years ago the love of my life (my darling dog, Mops) was thrust into my life.
Every year since I make him a doggy friendly cupcake, and a non doggy friendly cupcake for myself. We celebrate each other. (And I'm a big dork because of it. :) )

We usually do something fun like make heart-shaped pancakes in the morning, and then share small gifts and handmade cards later in the day, or after school, if Valentines Day falls on a school day. One year we had a snow storm on Valentines Day, and the kids were thrilled to wake up to a snow day and chocolate hearts on their pillow...what could be better than that ;)

very cool givaways....last year I made home-made oreo truffles and put them in little heart liners into cello bags. I also made homemade valentines for friends/co-workers and for my DD's classmates.
DH and I swap candies and we usually go out to dinner as a family...nothing sizzling hot romantic (or even alone for that matter)!
Valentines is one of those holidays that should be celebrated EVERYDAY!

Having two little guys, I don't get much chance to do pink so I take full advantage of it on valentines day. My oldest (4) we handmade his valentine cards for his pre-school class with the help of my cricut machine (will do it again this year). For breakfast I make pancakes using heart cookie cutters and put a little red food coloring in the batter, top with strawberry syrup, strawberries and they drink pink milk. I also take a picture of my guys and then scrap it with all the pink, flowers and hearts I tend not to use the rest of the year. The stroy is always the same how very much I love them!

We don't do alot for Valentine's day. My husband and I usually just get each other a card. And we usually buy our 2 boys a little something.

My dh and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day mainly because when we got together we were cash-strapped students so couldn't afford to do anything! We try to get each other a little gift like a packet of Love Heart sweets or some other cute type of thing which doesn't cost much. A couple of years he did surprise me with a solid silver loveheart which made me feel fab.

My DH and don't really celebrate. But when my oldest was 3 (he's 13 now) we started making Valentine cookies and we make a nice dinner and have a "love fest" just telling each family member what he/she loves about the others. It's a fun tradition we look forward to each year. We still make cookies because now there are two 7 year olds to help with the action.

We don't celebrate Valentine's Day in the traditional, commercial sense. Usually we take the time to enjoy a nice homecooked meal with a bottle of wine. Turn the TV and just talk. Its a great night to reconnect and I look forward to it!

It's different every year, but part of the fun is always something "heartsy" for my daughter whose birthday is in February---that's so fun! My husband is actually the most creative of all and last year he gave me and the kids each our own HUGE (really huge, like 3-feet tall) card. It made us all smile. =)
