Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

I usually make sugar cookie heart cookies. I also make little baggies of candy treats.
Other than that I try and take a moment with family member to tell them, I love them!

In our house, we like to tell each other that every day is Valentine's Day! We really don't do anything out of the ordinary, although we will exchange cards and I like to make cards for my kids and it's still a great day!

I remember my mom making heart shaped pancakes and thinking that was pretty cool -- something I'd like to do with my 2 year old this year. I usually get her a special Valentines Day outfit too.

Valentine's Day is my birthday but I prefer showering others with love. We do lots of little things - make valentines for classmates and cards for Grandmas and Daddy. Lots of hearts & pink & red - heart-shaped pancakes, heart-shaped sandwiches, pink milk, special plates for the day. My hubby does spoil me with something for my birthday and something separate for Valentines. Love it!

For Valentine's Mark and I often simply go out to eat if possible or during the week before Valentine's do something special that usually includes a surprise from one to the other. It's interesting to see what we both come up with. :)

Since I had my daugther 8 years ago, Valentine's Day has become a family event. We carry hearts & the theme of love with us all day long. I always buy her & I cute Valentine t-shirts, from Target or Old Navy. We eat heart shaped waffles with berry syrup for breakfast. I cut her pb & j with a heart shaped cookie cutter and pack her lunch with everything pink & red. I put a special Valentine napkin with a personal note in her lunch. Then after school, have heart shaped cookies. We stay home for dinner and have a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphys. This year my little guy will have just turned one at Valentine's Day, so we're excited to have him join in the traditions. I know he'll love the pancakes! My husband is so sweet & thoughtful, he always brings home a bouquet for me and a little one for our daugther too. It's so nice to be reminded all day long of the love we share for our family!

i so {heart} valentine's day too. i just love all the little things about it - i loved getting the special little valentines from my friends as a kid - i actually still buy those and hand them out to my co-workers. as a family we always make heart pancakes for breakfast and the me & my girls make special hand made valentines for granmas & papsa & mommy & daddy, etc. Then my dh usually cooks my favorite dinner with wine & gets me some sort of singing stuffed critter - last year it was frog; which i totally loved. i also usually bake him heart shaped brownies. i think that this year i am going to make him a box of fortune cookies (scrapbook style) and put little love notes & stuff inside. :D

We don't really have any Valentine's Day traditions, though I think it would be fun to start some. My son is 2 this year, so maybe we could come up with some sort of craft to make for Daddy & the grandparents. Hmmmm, I'll have to think about that.

Last year was my son's first Valentine's Day, and my husband was out of town for work. I took pictures of my son holding a big heart that said "I Love You," and I e-mailed the pictures to my husband and my parents. I'll probably do something similar this year.

I don't usually do anything special. Just a quiet night at home. Maybe a nice dinner with the family a few days later, so that I don't have to make reservations somewhere or wait in a long line to get a seat. I really prefer celebrating just by spending time with my loved ones. Oh, and maybe giving them a little chocolate suprise! :)

Though we don't go out to fancy or romantic restaurants for Valentine's Day, we have started a tradition of getting crafty--like making valentines with my daughter for her class. Here's a link to our Valentine's Day in 2008:

I put together goodie bags for my girls and leave them in a place where they'll see them first thing when they wake up. We eat dinner together as a family with pretty linens and candles and finish up with a delicious dessert that we'd normally not have!

We do not have anything special planned, nor do we have a tradition (we both normally end up having to work) but each year I try to make a mini for my husband, my mom, and my grandma. This year I think I will make one for my daughter also (who'll be 3 this Friday) and let her help me make daddy's!

Every Valentine's Day we make heart shaped cut-out cookies, decorate them and give plates of them to the special people in our lives. :)

My husband is usually out of town for work, so we celebrate on a different day, most often by going out to eat. I always get a See's Candies treat for the kids. They love that even though they are now 19 and 17.

We always leave our boys a trail of Hersheys kisses from their bed in the morning to a fun little present. We started it when they were really little and they always look forward to the chocolate trail of treats :)
