Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.
[ Three Things is a weekly product series : check out the archives here. ]

For Valentines day my hubby and I try our best to make time for each other-- we usually go out to eat at our favorite restaurant. This year I also plan on baking for my guys; heart shaped cookies for my hubby and cupcakes for my little one.

Valentines Day has never been a huge deal for my husband & me - I guess because we're not into the cliche of it all :) One thing we do like is food - so we'll probably try a new restaurant. Very simple!

We usually don't do anything because my hubby says we shouldn't need just one day to show each other how much we love each other.

I used to show up at my husband's work (he worked early mornings, so when I passed by I would stop and put a rose and balloon on his car. Then when he came out he'd have a little reminder that I was thinking of him. We exchange a small gift and try to go out somewhere to eat together. It's pretty low-key, but definitely a date night.

I usually make something chocolate for the whole family and a handmade valentine of some sort for my husband and each of my two children. I imagine this year will be more of the same.

We don't really do much to celebrate Valentine's Day. We'll get the kiddo a card and either chocolates or a stuffed animal. This year I'm leaning towards Purrrcy the Lovable Lion from Hallmark. Which reminds me that I probably want to get that taken care of with the next week so the baby is due at the end of January and I may not be up to doing much after she arrives.

we don't do anything special per se, but with all the wonderful crafting supplies I own, I've been feeling like making him a beautiful card to tell him how much I love him and appreciate him for the work he does and his love and support for his family.

We start Valentine's day with heart shaped pancakes. We are homeschoolers, so we try to incorporate Valentines Day into school. For example, we do candy heart math. Each of my boys gets a package of candy hearts, then group them by color. After this, each boy has their own place mat with heart outlines sized just for these candies, and to graph them. With a dry erase marker the boys do math problems based on their graphs. They love this activity. We read a little about the history of Valentines Day, and melt hershey's kisses with a magnifying glass (if it is sunny). I try to make the day fun in a simple way.

My husband and I usually celebrate with a dinner out together, though this year I'm looking forward to including my 3 year old daughter in the holiday by making some crafts and cards with her.

I find some cute/funny cards for my close single girlfriends... and I'm always looking for some random person to bless with love, someone who doesn't have a special friend or a spouse.

Well Valentines have always been big in our house growing up and now with my own little family I hope to carry some of those along. We of course will make Valentines cookies (since I am launching my own baking business! Yeah for me!One of my goals for 2009) and now that my kids are at the arts and crafts age (2&3) we will make Valentines cards with lots of glue, glitter and tons of fun!! Hope you have a great one as well!!

We don't like to buy in to the money side of the season byt it is nice to share the sentiment so... Each year one of us gives the other a card... it's not written in and it's exactly the same card we've given for about 8 years now. I think it's my turn to give it this year... I better go hunt it out soon. :-)

I always have great intentions every year of doing *something* but typically it's a very low key day. Perhaps this year will be the year I start a new tradition.
