Three Things + 1 : Lots of Love (and giveaways)
Tags:This week we are taking a peek at a couple Valentine/Love related products. Look for another round of three next week - there are just too many cool things out there for creating projects that celebrate those you love.

• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.
• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

I make something for my daughter-has to be pink and if it has her picture on it, she will love it! I also make iced sugar cookies in a few different heart shapes and sizes.

Hi Ali! At this point in our lives (2 little boys and a busy life to boot!) we celebrate with lots of valentine related crafty projects with the kids and have heart shaped pizza for dinner on the 14th. Oh, and I try to make things pink or red, like pink milk in their cereal, pink butter on their toast, red jelly sandwiches, or whatever. :)

Valentines Day is also mine and my husbands anniversary, so a double celebration! We spend the day (we always take the day off work) together like walking on the beach or going to the movies. I also make cards and heart shaped cookies for those special to me them I love them, lots!

My husband and I do a family celebration with our two boys (16 & 12). We go out to dinner the NIGHT BEFORE Valendine's Day, because you don't get very good service on "the day," and menus are usually limited. We've found this to work out quite well, and we get to enjoy each other and relax during our dinner!

We don't have an ongoing tradition, but each year I try to come up with something we can do for each other. This year I decorated one of those little Target Mailboxes and we are leaving each other love notes in it each day starting 2/1. Since Valentine's Day is on Saturday this year we will have pink heart pancakes (a reminder of my days as a stay at home mom) and I have little gifts for the girls (heart shaped bath fizzies I bought after Christmas and some candy). I still have to think of a gift for hubby.
I love your picks today Ali- thanks for sharing!

I'm starting a new tradition this year. I'm getting together with a group of friends. We're going to make each other Valentines with something nice that we like about that person on them & then we're going to put them in decorated shoe boxes just like we did when we were kids. Something fun, new & different for a group of 40-something singles.

I guess Valentine's Day is much more of a "holiday" to me than it is to my hubby - Mr. Non-Romantic that he is. I know it will include dinner out and some supermarket roses at a minimum. He's a good man though...romance or not, I wouldn't trade him for anyone else's Valentine!

my husband and i usually exchange gifts, but what i absolutely come to love about this day is that he makes it a point to buy everyone of our girls a valentine gift-usually a teddy and candy-and its not a gift from mom and dad its so completely a daddy gift...so in the end valentines day gets expensive for him for his FIVE daughters and his wife!

My husband and I look forward to Valentine's Day. This year will be our 30th one together. While we enjoy giving each other gifts and going out to dinner, there have been years that have been very thin. On those years, it has been a card and time alone together talking in the dim light after kids were tucked in bed, remembering the laughter and fun we've had through it all!

Before I had my daughter, We really didn't do much for valentine's day. After having her however, we have tried to make the day a special one for her and celebrate how much my husband and I love her. I make heart-shaped chocolate chip pancakes, and always have a little gift for her from both of us. This year will be extra special as our second child is due on Feb 12th so this year we will get to celebrate his arrival as well.

Valentine's Day for us starts early with the decorating/altering little Valentines cards for school, this involves too many stickers, a little paint, and piles of glitter. For Valentine's Day we have special treats at each meal, heart shaped pancakes, little chocolate kisses with lunch and homemade "pupcakes" decorated with love with supper. We do plan an adult night out for a different night to celebrate our relationship, it usually involves a great restaurant with wonderful food and lots of privacy.

Since having kids, we now usually give gifts and cards to one another (including the kids) and then have a nice dinner and a dessert. Usually at home.

The table is set with red chargers, clear acrylic plates and kid-friendly, red stemware. When my son sees the table 'dressed up', he knows it's a special occassion and he gets very excited!

My husband and I have been active volunteers at my daughters school for the past 4 years. We love helping out in the classroom for their valentine's day party. For dinner, our family loves to go out for dinner... sometimes mexican or chinese. We let our daughter make the pick.

We give the kids treat bags and a small gift. We have a nice dinner with the kids and then curl up and watch a "date" movie after we send them to bed. Our anniversary is 2 weeks later, so we save the special plans and arrange childcare for that time.

Hi Ali
As I have a birthday 3 days later I usually get a little spoiled over that week but my hubby is not really into Valentines Day as such but I always try and find an appropriate card for him.
Last year my DD had a BF and it was cute to see them exchange gifts but this year there is no BF so will be interesting to see what happens.
Good luck with the impending birth of your little girl

My kids are older and pretty much out of the house, so I usually send them each a card w/an i-tunes gift card and/or some candy. For my husband, it's usually a really nice bottle of wine (that he might not splurge on), and then we either go out or he makes me a great dinner.
