I love those tags!
I love to print my journaling but sometimes, it doesn't always look right and I have to reprint. I use the "mistakes" and an exacto knife to cut out letters and words. It gives such a great look without a lot of money.

Please don't include me in the Scrap Etc. event. As much as I would love to go it's just too far away for me. My Frugal tips: After you make a layout use the left over scraps to make a card. Also, when you die cut slphas & shapes save & use the negative space too.

Love all the giveaways especially the shabby chic tags, unfortunately have no chance of getting to Atlanta for the scrapping event though!
Best frugal scrapping tip is to use existing stash and win competitions and giveaways to get new stuff!!!

I found that bits and pieces of our everyday life make much more meaningful embellishments than anything I could ever buy. I use used movie tickets, cool tags from my kids clothes, favorite candy wrappers, programs from school events, paint chips... The possibilities are endless and meaningful.

my tip is an oldie (but goodie) when you are desparate for a little matting or journaling square cut it out of the center another mat that will be covered up by your pictures...I've had to do this many times over the years especially when I've planned pages for a weekend event and not "kitted" enough cardstock for all my matting and journalling needs.

One thing that I have learned and turned into a scrapping tips is, them more you layer on things....whatever they may be, the best everything looks! I am in love with layering transparencies!

My frugal tip would have to be just use what you have. Also look at your stamps in new and cool ways. I love my stamps!! You can make so many cute embellies with them!!:)
I would not be able to attend the scrappy weekend as much as I would love to!! My daughter is a soccer girl and we always have lots of games:)
Thanks, Ali!

A frugil tip...After cutting out your unmounted rubber stamps save the excess rubber. Use the extra rubber by peel off the rubber and sticky backing and you are left with a pice of foam that is sticky on both sides perfect pop dot. (Due to location I would not be able to attend the Scrap Etc. Event)

The only way I can be frugal is by avoiding the internet and scrapbooking stores! Ha ha ha. I do always save the ribbon and tags from gifts because they often have very cute little embellies on them. Love your giveaways, Ali!

My frugal tip is to cut out the center of the cardstock I am using as a frame for my layout. I can use that big square framed with some other paper for another layout. Or with patterned papers I will cut out part of the design that is being covered by my photos. Paper is cheap, but I'm a fair distance from a Scrapbook store, so this 'tip' has enabled me to finish a layout without a long drive. Less driving is good for the environment and my gas allowance too ;)

Instead of buying a lot of patterned paper I like to use card stock and acrylic paints with stamps.

I could go to Atlanta, and would love to attend. My frugal scrapbooking tip is to use paper from my life - magazine pages, newspaper, mailings. There is a lot of beautiful print in my everday life.

My husband prints a lot of things at home for work. About half of it winds up in the recycling bin. We have a scanner/copier. I have started using those recycled papers in some of my pages. I photo copy my kids art, old family letters, recipes and daily ephemra on the blank side of the recycled paper. Then I use that in my layouts, cards and journals. My sisters love the cards they get with old letters and recipes from my aunts that I work into the design of the card.

My frugral tip is to use scraps! The scraps that I have are all papers that I've loved in the past - so it's really great to look through them and get inspired by the same paper over and over!

This is not a new tip but I love saving scraps for cards. It is easy to whip together something cute in very little time using scraps.
I keep all my scraps in a container to go to when I need something done quick.
Thanks for the give-away!
