My frugal tip is to cut down my cardstock in to useable pieces instead of throwing it away and I use those pieces for cards.
I'd so LOVE to win the Scrap Etc. getaway and could go!

Frugal - use whatever you have on your stash including anything that is 2 years old. If it's something that doesn't really fit my style, I put it in my preschool kids for their crafts.

My sisters and I split packages of rub ons and stickers and that way we don't have half used products too!

My goodness, what awesome giveaways. I am not a digital scrapper. I love the feel of all the papers and embellies in my fingers. I would love to go to Atlanta for a little R&R(code for scrapping fun).
Tip: when you are about to punch or trim a special piece of paper that you can't afford to replace or maybe it's not available anymore make sure your punch or trimmer is sharp. Punch several times through a piece of tin foil or run tin foil through your trimmer several times. If you've ever destroyed your only piece of paper you'll know how important this can be.
THANKS BIG TIME FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL CHANCE, ms.cheryl

Oh I am just hours away from Atlanta, it would so awesome to win this due to the economy wasn't able to addord this but wanted to as this is my birthday and would have loved to spend it with all those wonderful women...
As for a tip, not really have one to give as I love when people give me tips but I might add that I am trying not to spend as much on supplies and use what I have. If I do need something I kind of think twice before I buy.

My frugal tip is to use what you have before buying more. Resist the urge to stock up before using what's already in your stock. This tip forces me to new levels of creativity -- I look at what I have in a whole different way. I'd LOVE to attend the scrapbook weekend (which would probably result in me violating my frugal tip of the day. HA!).

I would be in Atlanta in a heartbeat. A heartbeat! This full time mom/full time worker bee needs a creative weekend away!!
Frugal tip. After I complete a layout I use the scraps to make a bunch of cards. I recently made 4 cards from the scraps from one layout!

Not the most thrifty tip, but QVC has great buys for scrapbooking stuff, if you like to buy in large quantities, kind of like Costco.
Thanks for the opportunity!

repurpose/recycle EVERYTHING - the packaging that supplies come in, little strips at the bottom of scrapbook paper. quickly make a handful of cards from your scraps after a project, scraps all gone, done deal - this way you don't have to store them because you know you'll never go back to use them. donate the cards to hospitals. go digital, you'll love it! oops, too many tips, sorry. you always have the best giveaways ali. ♥ rachel

Never throw anything out, no matter if it's the tiniest scrap... you can always use it for something else! (I think that's the Dutch coming out in me!)

My frugal scrapbooking tip for today: Use scraps from your layouts to make cards, before you even put them away! I do this almost every time I scrap, and I've not had to buy a greeting card in almost 5 years!
I'd love to attend Scrap Etc. I live about 2hrs from Atlanta and can get there very easily!
Thanks for the contests!

A 12x12 folder/tab divided file box holds all my scraps by color and a few by theme. I often challenge myself to use just one 12x12 cardstock background and then everything else has to come from my scrap box. I love digging through it for treasures and paper's I've loved. And I love the thought of making more room in that box. =)
(I could *not* make Atlanta that weekend, but I LOVE that you include such an awesome giveaway along with these wonderful other ones! Thanks, Ali.)

When I need smaller photos for a layout, I use my photo editing software and size the photos down to two 2x3 photos. This is helpful when you have to go a developer for prints. I would love to go to Scrap etc. I have family in Marrietta and I would love to get off of work.

When I am using "Pop Dots" or any 3-D adhesive, after I use the actual dots, I cut snippets from the foam around the dots and use every bit of the product. I may get 3 times as much use out of it!

I would have to say what has saved me some cash lately is.. using the hard plastic packages from my supplies. I use them to stamp on and even cut them into shapes that I need. Plus they are great to run through the revolution to emboss! Good luck to everyone..and these prizes are GREAT!!

Yeah, you're right. We copy them on CDs as well, but saving the pictures on another harddisk drive (a portable one) is safer I think.

I love these suggestions--especially the ones about the crayon picking up gems and the between-friends kit club (though that might give me the excuse to buy that big container of embellies)!
For me, my weakness is alphas, but I always run out of vowels and other common letters fast. So I have been more open to mixing my alphas so that if I've got a title with a bunch of vowels, I'll sub in some hand-drawn or Word printout alphas.

I’ve been planning out my layouts before I start on a page so that I know what editing and size I need the photos to be so I’m not printing out any “extra” copies.
Thanks for the giveaways!
