I get Studio Calico kits monthly and always try to use the packaging from the products included in the kit. They also enclose a "packed with love by" card that makes its way on to a layout also.

I save all my scraps, cardstock and pattern paper. They are great to use when cutting out items with my quickutz and sizzix.

One of my favorite frugal (and green) tips is to use product packaging. Whenever I try out a new technique or need a quick tag or card, I turn to my box of product packaging...so much of the packaging is decorative and sturdy. I especially use it in mini books!
    =) Thanks for the opportunity!

I always save all my scraps! Usually when I get done doing a layout, I can get a card or two made from the leftovers. (I would not be able to go to Atlanta-sounds fun though!)

Scrap papers can do a lot of wonders...flowers, buttons, journaling tags, etc. I've been spray painting lately on my art journaling book and most of the time the grungeboard shapes (wings, hearts, keys) soaked in paint ends up on 1 or 2 cardstocks. This is one of the tips I learned from Dina Wakley's amazing online art journaling class at get it scrapped.

You know how if you crop a photo there is often some left as scrap? I use punches on that to create interesting add ons or borders. For example, squares of sand or water for a beach spread. Or, grass and trees for something outdoors. I have a drawer that I toss them in and serach there when I have a layout that could use it. It uses up the part of the photo you were going to throw out!!

I tend to always save my scraps of patterned paper and make sure to look through that stash every now and then instead of cutting a nice piece of paper where I might have something similar in my stash :)

    What great giveaways!
I take the most beautiful cards I receive and cut out the embellishments or background and repurpose them on a gift tag or another card. When I write it down it sounds a little *too* frugal, ha.

Go Digital! You never use anything up... you just copy it and it's there FOREVER! Digital products are inexpensive too and fun to use.
(Ali... I'd love to go to Atlanta.... definitely enter me in that one... thanks... these weekly drawings are fun.

My tip - shop what you have before you go buy something. I've often found something in my stash that I forgot about! And share with others. I meet some friends once a month to scrap together and we share cutters, punches, etc.
*I couldn't make the conference, but would love to be entered in the other giveaways!

I have no trouble being frugal- it's not a choice for me! :) I keep my paper scraps (nothing is too small) in a plastic envelope and use them on my pages. I've lately been patching pieces together and using them on multiple pages.
Also, when I matt a photo with a piece of cardstock, I always cut out the centre part of the paper. This leaves lots left behind to use another day. :)

I love scrapping with friends. Someone may have a stamp I want to use or a little snippet of paper or embellishment. We swap and share and you never know what will happen. Great way to save money and awesome way to bond with my girls!

WOW....what an awesome selection of prizes!!! ;) that Scrap Etc. Event would be the best reason ever to go visit my MIL (she just happens to live in Atlanta!). It would be my first ever "away" scrapbooking event AND I would automatically have a sitter....JUST DREAMY!!!
Anywho, I guess my most "frugal" tip would be that I almost always punch circles (CM Circle Punch) out of the "cover sheet" for my paper kits...then I use these to adorn my hand-made cards (which btw are made fromt he scraps of said paper kit)! I can ink, stamp, stickle...just about anything...them!
    Thanks for the great give-away!

I have really been trying to do my pages with a lot more paper since that for more saves money instead of something that may cost 5 or 6 dollars... I also have been looking back at stuff that I haven't used in literally years like old stickers and fibers and using this in new ways on my pages.... I would be able to attend in Atlanta... Thanks for thinking of others... Renee' in Kentucky

A friend and I started a scrapbooking group at our church once a month on a Friday night with no admission fee. This allows those on a budget to come and scrap without having to pay a cropping fee and has really blessed us with some new friendships. People also share what they have-stamps, rub-on, stickers, whatever.I highly recommend it.

Use what you have! I haven't bought anything new in about a year and am slowly going through my stash, discovering gifts and things I bought and loving it!

I save my scraps. I recycle what bits I do throw out. I haven't bought anything in over a year and I've been using up my stash.

Tip? I don't have any great frugal tips. Except to maybe stay away from scrapbook stores - including online stores. I had to...for 6 months...just about did me in. :)

I like to recycle/reuse packaging from various items and incorporate them into my scrapbook pages. I could attend Scrap Etc if I were lucky enough to win! Thanks for the opportunity.
