Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

Oooh, a recommendation for a book. How about a series? Repairman Jack by F. Paul Wilson. Jack works outside the law to get the bad guys but there's more going on than meets the eye. Excellent series, am really enjoying it. www.repairmanjack.com

I finished Girl with a Pearl Earring recently and thought it was great--I still keep thinking about it.
After hearing your good words about it, I realized I had it in my growing pile of books to read, so I picked it up right away.
Old favorites The Red Tent, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Water for Elephants.

Well..one of my favorites authors is definitely Paulo Coelho, and if I have to pick one book, that would be: "By the River Piedra I sat Down and Wept"..the one book I finished reading it and started it all over again immediately!
Have fun reading!

Favorite book is so hard... there are so many great ones that I would put in my favorite category. I'm going to say The Time Traveler's Wife, because it is beautifully told and the idea of keeping all of that straight while writing it is no small feat.

Ali! Thank you so much for your giveaway. My favorite book right now took me a while to read because of its title. I was at first a little intimidated. Then, I noticed a co-worker reading it and I asked her about it. She continued on for many minutes about how awesome this book was and how many times she had read it, but keeps reading it.... anyways, the book is Skinny Bitch.
It's an awesome, life changing, book. It really made me take a step back and look at what I was putting in my body.
Ok, enough of my own book I am writing hehe,
thanks again.

I just finished reading two books by Marisa de los Santos - Loved Walked In and Belong to Me. Both were wonderful, feel good about life, books. What I loved the most though is that my mom passed them along to me (do I need to mention the library fines I incurred on her behalf??). I love the fact that even though there is a 40-year age difference between us, Mom knows me well enough to know what I like and that as I'm reading I can call her and we can discuss the stories as they unfold.

I'm currently reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer for my April book club meeting. My favorite book of all time is A Wayside Tavern by Norah Lofts. It traces the story of a pub in England from Roman times to the 1970s. The pub, remarkably, remains in the same family for all those years.
