Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

Like others I have read "Secret Life of Bees" and I loved it. I also enjoyed "These is My Words" (and it's sequels). Another good one I read recently was "Your Roots are Showing" ~ it was a fun, light read.

You have such great giveaways!
Favorite book.... I really LOVED the heartfelt moments of love in "The Notebook" and how he would read the story of their life every day to his wife with Alzheimer's. Breaks your heart to know that this disease can rob you of all of your memories like that. (Guess that is why it is so important to document your life - through scrapbooking and journaling!!!)

My favorite series of books is "The Number One Ladies' Detective Agency" by Alexander McCall Smith. He also writes a lovely series of books about a philosopher and new mom named Isabel Dalhousie. Both series are escapes for me, but remain thought-provoking along the way....

So far my favorite all time book is "Thousand Splendid Suns". Makes me sooooo thankful for all that we have in the U.S. and extremely grateful to have been born here!

Ooh...a favorite book. That is really tough because there are so many great ones. A recent favorite is Eat Pray Love. But the ones I've read the most are the Little House on the Prairie series (lots of times as a girl, and now again as a mom to my boys!)

I really love the Harry Potter series. I have read eac of the first 6 books at least thre times. When the final book was released, I read it very slowly to take it all in. I think that Simon might like to read it as a family read, a chapter a day, starting him on the first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. MIGHT be a little old for him yet, though. I also love The Shack as one of the first comments mentioned.

I can't say that I have a "favorite" book...but I did just finish my very first Jane Austen book "Northanger Abbey" and really really enjoyed it! It did take a little bit to get into the habit of reading the classic English wording...

Do children books count?!!??!? Ha!
Currently I'm reading "THINGS GOOD MOTHERS KNOW", it's a inspirational book on "IF YOUR HAPPY YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE". It makes you think about so many things. I read a little each night and try to digest it all.
Also, I'm reading American Girl books to my 5 year old daughter. I enjoy them as much as her.
