Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

I have always loved "A Prayer for Owen Meany" by John Irving. You need a good chunk of time to read it, but the novel is incredibly endearing and memorable.

Actually I am reading _Life Artist_ right now. I ahve always been an "event" scrapbooker. This book has challenged me to scrapbook in a new way. This book has challeneged me to tell the storeis of every day moments, to tell the story I want to tell, and to remember simple moments along with the big ones. This book has totalled changed the way I see and value my scrapbooking, my story.

Hi Ali! One of my absolute FAVORITE books is "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger (it is supposed to be a movie in August '09). Another is "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver. This one is a gripping story about a Southern Baptist family moving to Africa as missionaries and everything slowly unravels while they are there. Each chapter is written from the perspective of a different family member. Just talking about it makes me want to read it again! ha

How to choose a favorite book out of so many favorites! As a kid I read and read (and read again) The Trumpet of the Swan by E.B. White. I drove my parents crazy giggling out loud when I was supposed to be looking at the scenery.

One of my all-time favorite books is "The Joy Luck Club" by Amy Tan. Such a powerful story of mother-daughter relations.
I recently enjoyed "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society." Very interesting story (or really stories) woven together to shine a light on part of England during and following WWII.
Another great book is "The Poisonwood Bible." Wow. Just wow.
There are so many great books and only so much time - it's difficult to choose just one!

I recommend any of the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. They are laugh out loud funny and when you have little kids at home, you need funny sometimes.
