Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

I SO want the camera strap - c'est tres belle! If you are homeschooling and have a classical education bent of mind then you will most likely love Susan Wise Bauer's The Well Trained Mind. It is a quintessential guide to how to plan and execute homeschooling your child. I look at it almost every week or two it is that essential. After you get the hang of it you see how good a writer she is and how encouraging it is to have an excellent guide. Thanks for the opportunity to win a camera strap!

Given your recent addition, I would highly recommend one of the current favorites at our house "Pinkalicious". The follow-up is Purplicious (not quite as good as the first).

Hard to choose, but I recently laughed hard at the light and entertaining read "I was a good Mom until I had kids".

My favorite book this year was sent to me by a friend and it was so ridiculously appropriate to what I've been going through this year I couldn't believe it. The book was Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. Two other all time favs are The Alchemist and Reading Lolita in Tehran.

The Zookeeper's wife is a great book that you will not be able to put down. It is based on a true story of a polish husband and wife who saved over 300 people's lives during world war II. It is an amazing story but also has a lot of history that you may not have known before. Go get it!!

My favorite book of the last year is Geraldine Brook's People of the Book. I have a lot of favorites, and this is near the top of the all-time list. I don't know if I could choose just one. But for the last year, this is at the tops.

I'm an avid reader, but my all time favorite book is still one from my childhood. 'A Wrinkle in Time' will forever hold the top spot for me. It holds some wonderful memories and has gotten me through many a rough patch.
