Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey

Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.

Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!

Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status:  open!

Read more specific details for the workshop here

My all time favorite kids book is Owl Babies. My three girls loved it and still do.... ages 17, 11, and 5. This might be the only type of book you can read right now and Simon and Anna I hope will love it too.

I can't decide if it's Jonathan Livingston Seagull where Jonathan learns to fly alone, or Anthem, where "we" becomes "I."
I would LOVE to win one of these prizes!

I have tons of favorite books, everything from historical fiction to science fiction. Right now a favorite happens to be the Harry Potter series. Just some books that I can loose myself in and they take me to a different place. After all isn't that what books should do?

For anyone who likes Jane Austen's work, I would recommend the "Fitzwilliam Darcy, Gentleman" trilogy - it's the events of Pride and Prejudice, written from Mr. Darcy's point of view. And on a grey wet day like this, it's exactly how I'd wish to spend the afternoon!

My time for reading books is very limited. However before Christmas I read "Dewey" and the book about Jon and Kate Plus 8 before I gave them away as gifts!

okay, wow! so many good books already listed. And so many more to add to my list to read! Thanks everyone!
My faves - Harry Potter. All 7 books. I reread them every 2 years. Also the Lord of the Rings books. I can also read the Kay Scarpetta books (haven't read the new one tho). Nora Roberts has a series that I also love to reread, Heart of the Sea, Tears of the Moon, Jewels of the Sun.
My all time favorite kids book tho is by Mo Williams (from Sesame Street) called Don't let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! it is sooo much fun to yell at a book!! And to be allowed to say no to someone, it's great for kids!

Actually I'm not a big fiction reader, but did love reading to my three boys when they were growing up. One of my favorite books to read them (and one of theirs) was "The Book of Virtues" by william J. Bennett. The book has the most wonderful stories to teach children virtues such as kindness, perseverence, work, courage, honesty, loyalty, self discipline. I would highly recommend it. It taught mom a thing or two also!

I just started reading the Sookie Stackhouse series of books by Charlaine Harris. If you love the HBO series 'True Bloood' these are the books the show is based on. Love them! Very quick read and it's about vampires which I just can't get enough of.
