Picnics at Duke Gardens with close friends and family!

The warm beautiful weather (after almost 5 months of snow and winter where we live) but I'm mostly looking forward to showing my 6 month old son the outdoors after being cooped up and all the wonderful things it has to offer.

Favorite things about summer: taking my kids to the pool, popsicle smiles, green leaves, Dairy Queen, chatting with neighbors around an evening fire, and not having to bundle anyone up!

My favorite thing about summer is the time to catch up, catch my breath, clean, and plan for the future.

Summer means I get to spend more time with the kids, go on family road trips, have fun at the beach and enjoy lazy afternoons at the back yard or porch. :-)

I enjoy the summer months because it means being outdoors having bbq's with family!! Love those summer nights!

My favorite things about the summer months are playing outside with my boys & going to be watching my 1 yr old discover the world outside.

Walking around barefoot, swinging in the hammock, and playing in the yard with my daughters..

My favorite part of summer is the pool, ice cream cones, and cookouts.

I love the long evenings, sitting in the garden with a nice cold drink, spending quality time with my daughter and husband and just enjoying nature.

I love how my little corner of the world comes alive with color- the sky is a more vivd blue, the grass becomes all variations of green, the sun is so bright white it hurts, the trees, flowers and even the weeds are every color of the rainbow.
The summer fashions are so festive and fun, even in name: coral, lemoney yellow, cotton candy pink, berry red, carribean blue, etc.
I love color!

I love the sense of exploration I feel in the summer. Whether it is going on a vacation to someplace new or visiting our favorite park in town or playing in the backyard, I enjoy the freedom summer gives us. I enjoy it even more now that I can see the look on the kids faces as they see something for the first time or when they tell someone else a story about their new experience.

Swimming Pools! They are my favorite summer thing. I love the smell of a pool in summer. Even just laying out by the pool is very relaxing.
