We finally broke down and bought the kids a play structure for the backyard. This is our first home and first big yard! Can't wait to see them enjoy the outdoors!

My favorite thing is not having a schedule - the kids and I get up and decide what we will do over breakfast. This year the daddy works from home, and part time !, so he gets in on the fun. After a 10 months of our time being broken into one hour blocks at school, doing things when we choose, and as long as we choose, it paradise.

The best thing about the summer months is that it is still light outside when my husband comes home, so it feels like we have an extra couple of hours time as a family together.

My favorite thing about the summer is that the kids get all sticky and sweaty and dirty all day long when we play...but then they come in and get their bath and smell sweet and fresh and sleep like angels :) Thanks!

Now that I'm a grandmother, my favorite part of summer is having the grandchildren around a lot more. We spend hours in the pool, at the beach or just out and about. I love summer in Southern California because there is so much to do and share with the children. I guess the true reason for loving summer is that I have the littles one around so much and all the family BBQ's...great scrapping days!

My favorite thing to do in the summer is just chill in our backyard with my 2 girlies : ) We splash in the kiddie pool, play in the sprinkler, soak up the sun, read books ahhhhhh : ) Thanx, Anne

In summer my favorite thing is working together as a family in the garden. I love the simplicity of the moments we share and the great memories we make.

Love the pace! No schedules and lots of time to spend with my three boys - who are growing up way too fast.

My favorite thing about the summer months is the impromtu get togethers among friends. Friday nights seem to be the best time to just have everyone over, super casual, all the kids eating grilled cheese sandwiches while the adults have a wine cooler and take a deep breath at the end of another stress-filled week. It is a fabulous way to kick off the weekend.

Long hours of blissful daylight make me oh-so-very happy! Driving to work in daylight and driving home in daylight do wonders for my psyche :)
