My favorite thing about summer is not having to run all over the place everyday. We get to take out time, go out if we feel like it, stay home if we don't. Two more weeks...I can't wait!!

My favorite things about summer are the trips we take. Usually they involve going to the ocean. I love the ocean and being there is just so different from the day to day things that life throws at us. I love the sand, the waves, the sun, eating sandy fries, walking on the boardwalk, carrying the chairs and towels up over the walk and the first glimpse of the ocean. New every day!

Oh I love the thunderstorms, the warm nights sitting outside, and can't wait to introduce catching fireflies to my two young daughters, sweet tea, family cookouts, water sprinklers, watermelon, basically summers in the South are GREAT!

So many "best things" about summer...taking the kayak out, camping in tents, NO lunches to make, son home from college, the house full of teenagers again (I really do love this!), breakfasts out on the deck...sigh...can't get warm fast enough :)

    Everything!
But most of all time off work spent with family and friends.
In my country most people have 3-4 weeks off during July, the month when Sweden is moving slowly, impossible to get any business done during this time off year here.

    Hello Ali
My favorite thing about summer is the fact that my husband and I are both teachers and have the entire summer to spend with the kids being carefree and doing what we enjoy.

Summer means no schedules for the kids and me. Wake up when we want, go to the pool or not, hang out at home, do spontaneous things. It's a great feeling of freedom for a couple of months!

The smells of summer . . . grass being cut, the breeze, something on the grill, roses next to my porch . . . and the sounds . . . the swing on the front porch being used, the birds, kids playing, laughing, screaming, and this summer: a baby cooing or crying (baby due late summer). Thanks for the chance to win! -LauraLee

My fav thing about the summer is the fact that it is all about my family. My husband is a teacher and I am a stay-at-home Mom so we have lots of time for fun stuff with our 3 year old and 2 year old. This summers big adventure, camping!

Here in Australia we are in the middle of Autumn (your Fall). Long walks on the beach any time of day is great.
    Cheers, Irene :)

My favorite thing of the summer is "no schedule". It's good to just "chill out" - even in the 100 degree Texas weather. And I get a chance to catch up on all the projects I've put off during the year while homeschooling.

I am a school nurse so I have the summers off with my school age kids. I'm so looking forward to just waking up and spending the full days with them doing nothing but fun things we love.

You would think living in Georgia summer wouldn't be special since it practically starts in March, but I love being WARM. Not having to think about what I put on when I get up, knowing it's going to be hot as yesterday. I love finding little creeks to play in with the kids and thumbing my nose at the watering ban because kids should play in sprinklers in the summer!

My favorite thing is having the kids at home all day with me. This will be my last summer with only two, so I am looking forward to every moment!
