I am a summer kind of momma...I LOVE summer! I love hearing my kids laugh and splash around outside. I love the smells of fresh cut grass, BBQ, and sunblock. I love sharing a giant slice of watermelon on the back deck with the kids. Love the produce and the fact that it stays light so late. I love the heat and I love to play outside...so I love everything about summer.

I love that we don't have to be anywhere in the summer. I can stay in Pjs all day if I want to and the kids can romp around in diapers since it's warm.

My favorite thing about the summer months is SnoCones and running through the sprinklers! I love to watch my little boy splash through the sprinklers. And of course, BBQing!!!

Exposed limbs! Seriously, I love that my toddler doesn't have to have her arms and legs all covered up as the days get warmer... so I can see (and squeeze) her sweet, soft, and (less and less) pudgy extremities! Might have to do a page about it! ;o)

I love the summer, because I am a teacher. It is my time to reconnect with friends, family and myself after being so busy during the year. This summer it is all about getting sun, exercising and training my puppy! 2 more weeks :)

I love beach volleyball! I play twice a week during the summer and sometimes we'll join pick-up games on the weekends. Theres nothing better than sand between your toes, sun on your shoulders, and a great group of friends to hit the ball around with!

My favorite part of summer is the days I have with my daughter Haley and taking her to the local pool to swim where we have to stop at Dairy Queen on the way home, just have to!

My favorite thing about summer is that I don't have to set my alarm clock! I work full time, but when they're off school I go in when I get up and get ready...laid back!

My favorite thing about summer is the early morning and the evening when the temperature is perfect for sitting outdoors and taking in the season. That and not having to rush the kids out of the house first thing in the morning as I try to fix breakfasts and lunches simultaneously. Yeah, summer!

Our favorite summertime activity is taking road trips to our cottage in northern michigan and playing on the beach. The stars are especially amazing up north, and the kids absolutely love running around getting dirty and taking a "bath" in the lake with shampoo. It's a blast!

Favorite things about summer months: I love having my son home from school. It's so nice to be free from the tyranny of the school schedule. Mostly this summer though, I am looking forward to some sunshine. As a southern CA girl having recently relocated to the cloudy, rainy pacific northwest, I could do with some sun and warmth!
