My favourite thing about summer is hot coffee sitting on the porch in the warm morning sunshine with the newspaper. Bliss...

I love the warm care-free feeling of summer and spending time with my 4 children exploring lovely Colorado and visiting cousins in other states.

The best part of summer is that feeling of absolute freedom, however short-lived, after I turn in grades for the Spring semester.

My favorite part about summer....well, I'm not gonna lie...I'm a teacher, and the best part about summer, hands down, is 6 or more weeks of doing whatever the heck I feel like whenever I feel like it. Although I sometimes struggle with my job (who doesn't), and try to take the best of each day, count my blessings, etc., you gotta admit, weeks of having the priviledge of charting your own course is bliss! My favorite times though are spent with my sons, just trying to capture a little bit more time with them before they are "too cool" to spend time with me...as one is 15 now, I know the day won't be far off when even though I available, he won't be...and my heart is already breaking...So for all the teachers out there, give a big WHOOP for summer break. The rest of you out there, trust me, even with the time off, we teachers spend plenty of off-duty time doing work related things - nights, weekends, holidays. Trust me, by the time June rolls around, you WANT me to have some time off away from your children!!!! :)

What I love the most about summer is the fact that days are longer...It seems that we can accomplish more..Though it might not be true in my case..But still....

I can't wait to go to the beach, play with kids, meet up with family & friends!!

I work at a school so my favorite thing about summer is the six weeks I get off!! I've been putting together some scrapbooking projects to work on while I'm off and I can't wait to dig in!

I just loving having my kids off from school and not having a strict schedule for them. Nice to just hang out with them.

I love the beach and the sand

My favourite thing about the summer months is simple but so rewarding - just walking and talking with my boys; learning more about the way they see the world and what's really important to them, right now.

Definately sitting on the `champagne step` in the swimming pool while the smells of a delicious BBQ wafts around me! Apparently most people call it the swim out step but I`d prefer `champagne step!

My husband is a professor @ the local university and he is off for the summer, so we get to sleep in and hangout together. So, I guess hanging out with my husband is my favorite thing about the summer months.

I love family time! (and I LOVE being a teacher :) )
