This summer will be the first in 5 years I will not be taking any graduate courses - I can't wait to spend the time with my two sons!

Being able to play outside with the kids all day and soak in the sun and then sitting outside with a glass of wine after they go to bed at night. Love every minute of it!

Sleeping in, going to the pool, sound of children's laughter, no homework, no packing lunches, no running to and from activities... just the beginning of the best part of summer.

I love sitting on the back porch and watching my 6 year old son playing in the backyard. His imagination is endless and it's so refreshing to watch.

My favorite thing about summer is No School!! I love spending time with my kids at the pool, picnics, 6 flags etc! I also love the colors of summer, I garden and love seeing the different flowers come and go. I am still working on how to have continous blooms through out the season.

I love so many things about Summer; lazy summer days, cookouts, playing in the pool, our zoo visits.
But my absolute favorite is that my birthday is in June, my daughter's in July and my husband's is in August. So Summer pretty much means our family constantly celebrating each other. How can you not love that?

This year, my favorite thing about the summer months will be not having school!! I'm just finishing (today!) my first year, and I really need the break!

I love the longer days. I work full time so during the summer I get to enjoy 1-2 hours of daylight that I miss out on during the winter. And with the Midwest's short summer, I cherish what time I do get to spend outside.

Having no schedule! Being able to pick up and go to the pool or the zoo or have a picnic anytime is a great feeling.

I love that almost every weekend our family and friends come over to hang out by the pool. We cook out on the grill and just talk and laugh for hours.

Our yard filled with flowers and having lots of BBQ's with friends.... no schedule, swimming, VBS for the kids, fresh produce from the garden. What's not to love about summer?

What I love about summer is not having to be in a schedule with my daughters (13, 10). But...I do have to admit that towards the end of summer, I am ready to be back on that schedule! lol

Our winters in northeast Ohio can be very long and dark, so I love, love, love the summer months when I can wake up to the sunshine coming through my window. I'm an island girl at heart, so bring on the warmth!

My fave thing about summer is being able to be more adventurous with activities for my daughters without having to worry about the weather. We can go to the zoo (www.columbuszoo.com), the Farmer's Market (http://www.uptownmerchants.com/linkpages/uptownfarmersmarket.html), outside for a picnic (http://www.metroparks.net/ParksInniswood.aspx), the Art Fest (http://www.gcac.org/fest/), the Asian Fest (http://asian-festival.org/index.do), etc.

My absolute favorite thing about summer is the long nights with sunlight. You can go to the park, for bike rides, sit on the deck until bedtime.

Other than Christmas and Thanksgiving, the summer months are time when I get to see my family. Cookouts, pool parties, trips to the beach. The smell of suntan lotion, biting into a big hunk of juicy watermellon, fireworks on the 4th of July. I love it all. Hey, it's summertime and the livin's easy!
