Don't sweat the small stuff or obsess over every little thing. It will only make you less productive and suck the energy out of scrapping which is supposed to be FUN.

Advise for a new scrapper-start by buying a few packs of printed paper rather than individual sheets-much more economical. And maybe join a kit club, so you get little bits of different products to try.

I wish someone would have told me to shop with my pictures in mind. It's so easy to get carried away with SO MUCH COOL STUFF in those stores! I'd pick things up and think I'd use it for such-and-such project and then when I pulled the pictures out I didn't feel the connection between the supplies and the pics. Now I take pictures from a single project with me to a store (or sit them in front of me when shopping online) and look for supplies that would go with them instead of the other way around.

What ever you create is yours. It doesn't have to be perfect so long as it makes you happy it's good!

My best advice: don't hoard products & supplies! There will always be newer and better stuff to be released.

I wish someone would have told me that the dreams I had in the beginning of this crazy hobby were normal. It is amazing how many scrapbookers or card makers I meet that tell me how they dreamed of papers, layouts, and ideas in the beginning. I loved that time - of finding out something new in the world that creates happiness for me - I still dream, just not as often - Enjoy the dreams!

Oh, and for those of us who think faster than they write with their messy handwriting: write a draft on scratch paper first for less cross outs and less running out of room.

Omigosh, as I try to declutter overflowing craft/scrap supplies, my advice is not to buy so much. Adopt a use, then buy policy, e.g., use a sheet of paper before buying another one, etc.!

My best advice would be that there are no rules! It's not about the coolest products or the most embellishments on your pages. It's about getting your stories and photos down on paper. You will be so glad you did (even if your design styles change years from now). Also, it is important to include your own handwriting on your pages (even just a little bit). . A little touch of you on every page. Scrap what is meaningful to you and don't worry about chronology.

I wish someone would have told me to scrapbook because I enjoy it...not to complete an album or to be all caught up on your photos. It is overwhelming. I enjoy scrapbooking so much more now that I have found your technique of doing what I feel like doing and not worrying about the "order."

Just go with the flow. Don't sweat the small stuff. It will prevent you from being productive and suck the life out of scrapping which is supposed to be fun!

Keep it simple. Don't feel like you have to accomplish everything, use everything or even scrap everything. Do what you can, when you can and cherish the results regardless of how much gets done.

I would love to win any of these, but especially that camera strap and lens bag. So cute! My advice would be to keep it simple. Simple products, simple pages. Stick to the basics and don't buy every product available.

I wish that someone had told me when I first started not to worry about catching up on my old photos...just to relax and create whatever you are inspired to create at that moment!

Start with the basics... don't go buy a ton of stuff and get with a friend that has been scrapping to show you the ropes!!!

I would tell a new scrapper to just go for it! You don't need tons of supplies - use what you like.
Enjoy the journey since the destination does not exist. There is no such thing as 'caught up'.
