A favorite summer tradition has to be getting up early and sitting by the pond, watching the fish, sipping our morning beverages. Such relaxation!

our family's favorite summer tradition is to finish off the summer with a few trips to our state fair. it's a great one (minnesota!) and is the perfect ending to a great summer (it runs for the 10 days before labor day). we love the fair!

This could be a million different things! We have so many great Summer traditions! I'll go with my daughter's favorite....the ice cream truck! We heard him the other day at about 3:30, we ran to the street but he obviously was over on another road and he never showed up :( But the excitment that the sound of his truck brings every summer is so very cool!

Our favorite summertime tradition is to go to the mountains of NC (a day's drive from where we're at in Raleigh) and go gem mining! We go ever summer: my husband and I, both of our parents, my siblings, my aunt and cousin. No one ever comes back rich, but we
sure have a good time sitting in the river and digging through the sand and pulling out brightly colored quartz and semi-precious rock. It's a lot of fun and we look forward to it every July.

Hmmm.... a summer tradition? It would have to be the days spent at our local water park. It's awesome that it is only 10 minutes away and has so much to do.

Harvesting fresh vegetables from the garden with the kids. The water is boiling when we pick the corn and husk it. Food doesn't get any more fresh than that!

We recently started a new tradition where we go to our neighborhood pool on Friday nights to get together with other families and have pizza and hang out. Lots of fun for the kids and parents.
