We've created a new summer tradition in our family. We've done it the last 2 years. My husband's birthday is June 20 and we decided to spend a week in Yellowstone for his birthday each year. He loves to be in the mountains and we love being together as a family having fun. It's a great time to go because there are not very many people and it's neither too hot nor too cold. We love it!

My favorite summer tradition? I look forward to so many things, especialy the warm weather and being out doors. I think my favorite is heading to the Vineyard where every day is savored. The beach, antiquing, the farmer's market, the art show, a sunset sail.

A favorite summer tradition for me is simply spending time with our family and cooking out in our backyard. I know it's not fancy but it's my favorite thing to do :)

We live in Durban where it is really hot & humid so we have a tradition of all diving in the pool as soon as we get back from school (me & the kids - all 4 of them...) then doing homework still in their swimming costumes & me with my sarong on too. Then, when we are all finished it's time for ANOTHER dip, then cooking & eating dinner, then the best tradition of all, NIGHT SWIMMING just before bed! So we get in at least 3 swims every afternoon, unless we are busy with sport. It's just so hot!!!

My favorite summer tradition is Long Beach, WA. We go every year, with the whole family. This year will be different. A lot of shops have closed, due the economy, but I'm hoping we'll still have some good family time. :)

My tradition is something that I am making with my kids. I have fond memories of crawling into cool, clean sheets on my bed, after an evening bath (much needed because of all of the outside playing that happened that day). We always try to put clean sheets on the beds in the evenings, after baths...and my girls love the way it feels, too.

a favorite summer tradition is going for two weeks to visit the grandparents (my parents) who live over 1000 miles away! They live on a farm and the kids get to climb trees and ride horses and so much more!

Every summer my husband's family (from Seattle, WA) head down to Cannon Beach, OR for a week. I have such wonderful and fond memories there with them and very much look forward to taking my little one there after he is born.

Lazy days that just unfold. With little ones that can be lego worlds, sprinkler in the front, pool, babydoll hospital, cookies taken to neighbors, whatever pull us.

Long lazy days with our toddlers, staying outside longer to "wade" in the ankle high pool (lol), early dinners and fun snacks centered around the fruit of the season. Just evenings full of smiles (at least until bedtime comes!)
