We love to walk the dogs down to Dairy Queen and we enjoy some ice cream out on the patio and then walk it off on the way home!

Every summer I buy each of our kids a notebook to write in daily. They can use it as a journal, write stories, poems, thoughts, ... whatever they want, as long as they are writing daily. At the end of the summer it is fun to look back and see what they wrote. I often pull out some of the things they wrote to put along with photos taken to use as journaling on scrapbooks layouts of our family. ~Tanya

We've been going to our State Fair for the last 4 years. My favorite part is sampling the flavored milk. For 25 cents you get the best cup of ice-cold milk in many different flavors, including mocha, root beer, and cherry vanilla. Makes me thirsty just thinking about it! YUM!

Hi Ali,
the town that I work in does a GREAT old Fashion 4th of July Parade. We go every year. My son (9) is a huge
WWII buff and they have the BIGGEST colllection of large tucks, tanks etc from the wars that shake the ground as they pass by. We always take the time to thank our troops for their sacrafices. The day ends with a family BBQ and of course sparklers :) Enjoy yuor holiday.

A favorite tradition by far is going to one of the only drive-in's left in the area and watching a movie! The girls love it and we love reliving something that we did as kids ourselves.

Great giveaways! One of our favourite things to do with the family is spending a week away camping. Every year the children look forward to it and we try to get away a few times each summer.
