Our favorite summer tradition is meeting up with all the cousins and grandma & grandpa at the lake. We don't see one another very often so we make the most of that week -swimming, playing, eating and laughing.

My favorite summer tradition is unpacking and setting up my hammock. It was a birthday present a number of years ago and is still a favorite, and now a favorite of my 6 year old DS, too.
Ali, when you had us take a picture this week, saying 'ready, set, go!', I grabbed my camera and now am the proud owner of a great shot of my legs stretched out on my hammock. A favorite memory that is now the profile picture on my Facebook page. Thanks for the inspiration.

We head up to the adirondack mountains to the same little cabin each year. Its been 50 yrs. so far. Extended family comes and we just enjoy the company and the water. There are no electonics, no TV. Just talking, board games and crds, puzzles and water sports. Of course, its a nightly tradition to walk about 1 1/2 miles to get an ice cream cone after dinner. Heading there now!

One of my favorite traditions is walks on warm Saturday mornings. Nowhere to be, nothing to do, just strolling around, getting iced tea or breakfast, and laughing at the antics of our dog!

We don't have many traditions, but one thing we did last year for 4th of July that we want to do again is attend a Turtle Independence Day where a local hotel releases turtles they've raised in their ponds.
