Our pool sells ice cream during the lifeguard breaks. I noticed last year that I was enjoying ice cream too often, which I don't need to be doing. So THIS summer's tradition is that I swim laps while my girls eat ice cream, and they sit on the side and cheer for me. :)

Lots of daylong barbecues with friends and family. This of course goes hand in hand with a day of swimming. Followed by nighttime movies. I love summer!

I have 3 young children and summertime traditions are just starting to emerge! Right now I love taking the kids to the splash park in out town...there's no pool so the kids won't drown and it's free...how can you beat that!

Our favorite summer tradition is "Camp Grammy & Bompie." Each summer, my father and step-mother have as many of the grandkids that can come to stay at their house without the parents. They do fun activities like swimming, going to a cottage with a fish pond - just like at a real sleep away camp. And last year they even went to Washington DC with all the cousins. They have a blast each year and can't wait for the next summer!

Strawberry picking! We just came home from the field. My 22-month old couldn't keep the strawberries out of her mouth so she was covered in red juice and yelling out "stawbewies" at the top of her voice with the biggest smile you've ever seen!
