Oh wow those are beautiful giveaways. I would think that my summertime tradition is that me and Owen get out the Jello molds and make fun snacks and ice pops to keep us cool when the weather gets extra hot.

My favorite summer tradition would be packing a picnic and going to the lake with our two dogs. The dogs love the water (being labs) and we have so much fun watching them paddle and play.

One great summer tradition for my family is traveling to our family reunion. It's really great to see people that I only really see once a year.

One favorite for our family is going to the coast with several of our friends and all our families. Kids, dogs, sand, water, good food, great company. Lots of memories to scrap when we get back.

Our family tradition is to go visit my husbands sister in Texas. My son has not grown up around his 2 cousins but he has made the trip out there every summer since he was 4 years old. Sometimes we get to go as a family but sometimes my son goes by himself. This year we are all going but my son is going before us and staying after us. Now that he is older (15) and his cousins are in college, it is still a tradition. We love it and most of all he loves it.

A fave summer tradition around here is driving down to Minneapolis and shopping at Ikea since we don't have one in our city just yet. Or, Sunday picnics in the park with our family.

Our "starting summer" tradition is a Memorial Day cook-out at my mother-in-law's. She buys the steak, we all bring a dish to share and play volleyball on the front lawn.

Every other year our family meets at the Jersey shore for a family reunion. We rent two houses so we can be together and our festivities include: a big picnic at the park, a day of softball, a day at the waterpark, a night at the Boardwalk, a trip to the Cape May Lighthouse, looking for "diamonds" at the N.J. Point, and ice cream at Springers. Can hardly wait!

Every summer we go blueberry picking! It is so much fun, and you are allowed to eat as much as you want while we pick. I even made a mini about it last year!

My favorite summer tradition was always going to the Zoo on the 4th of July.
My father was ill when I was litte, but when it came to the Holidays he would always try and make it.
We would pack a picnic of hogie sandwiches, chips, and Coke. Get to the Zoo by 9 am, follow the coveted "map" and then go to a movie afterward.
He has passed away, but I have carried on this tradition with my family.
