Great giveaways!! :)
My favorite sumnmer traditions are just celebrating the season in general. Wearing shorts, not bringing along a jacket everywhere. Patio eating. Pools. Trips to the park. Best of all - summer VACATION! We're going to San Diego this year!

Our Summer tradition is to get all my husbands family (large bunch) and go find a place in Nebraska we haven't been and camp for 2 or 3 days, boating, swimming, hiking or what ever, just together.

Our summer tradition started when my mom was a kid...going to the lake for 2 weeks, taking swimming lessons and spending time in the cabin. Some of the best summer memories are from there!

Our favorite summer tradition is the 4th of July fireworks that are displayed from the country club & golf course down the street from our house. All the neighbors come out and sit in the street and on the sidewalk and we all chit chat while we watch.

Harvesting the first ripe tomatoes from the garden and baking a loaf of fresh bread to make tomato and cream cheese sandwiches. This has evolved to include things like goat cheese or herb butter; whole grain breads; and spinach or fresh basil, but I tend to favor it the way my mother did it when we were kids: white crusty bread, Philly cream cheese and the biggest yummiest tomato we can find on the first ripe day. Ours should be ripe in a week or so!!

Our family camping trip over the 4th of July holiday. We love sitting around a campfire making smores and roasting hot dogs and making up scary stories!

My favorite summer activity is 'having no agenda', doing nothing in particular. Waking up and letting the day take us wherever it may.....love that feeling!

Going to the pool as often as we can. That, and homemade ice cream. Mmm...

Our favorite summer tradition is making sure we plan at least one week to get away and relax from the hustle and bustle of everyday life at home. To savor the sweetness of our children without any responsibility over jobs, taking care of the house and all of those grown up things we get distracted by on a daily basis.

One of our newer traditions is spending time at our local lake, boating and camping. Summer took it's time making an appearance this year, so we are definitely soaking up as much recreation as possible now that it's finally here!

My most favorite summer tradition is getting together with my family for a barbeque. It's so great to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine, good food and being together.

Our family has gone up to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival for years. We love seeing plays under the stars. It feels like our second home, and caused one daughter to major in acting and get a master's in playwriting.
A wonderful location for a family reunion....
