We attend an annual 4th of July party with friends each year. We have been for the last 5 years and now my girls anticipate the event weeks ahead of time. Love that!

My favorite summer tradition is making homemade icecream and cobler. We wake up early on sunday mornings and eat some before the kiddos wake up.

Since we live in a large, urban city, the neighborhood kids play, run, ride bikes and overall have fun in the back drive. The grown ups get to hang out, maybe have a drink, host a BBQ. Thanks for the chance to win.

Everything fun happens in the summer: longer nights outside, splashing in the pool, eating great fruit. Love it all.

So funny...I was thinking about doing a page on this today. One of the things we do around here all summer is to catch frogs!! We find lots of them in our yard. We catch them and then transport them to the pond on the golf course behind our house. Catching frogs = summer fun around here :)
Great giveaways. Thanks!!

Favorite summer traditions...hmmmm, there are so many. Local baseball games, swimming at the pool, playing catch in the backyard, fishing trips, camping trips...so many. My favorite though is laying on the tramp at night and looking at the stars.

My fondest memories of summer were when my dad would take a long weekend and our family would join several of his coworkers and their families at the lake to relax and water ski.

A few years ago I would have said taking the kids to the same rose gardens [at the park] and taking their photos every year. Now they are older and one is away from home ... it's something that has gone by the way.

Our favorite summer tradition is picking blueberries (did it today and it was awesome!) and visiting with family in for a week or two in August.

As a kid, we would always go to the same campground every August, and stay for 2-3 weeks. All different friends a family would come and join us. All the kids knew the campground in & out and we'd just relax and play for days.

When we purchased our house a few years ago we discovered strawberries! Our NEW favorite tradition is picking and enjoying fresh delicious strawberries. My husband makes jam and we have it all year! YUM-o

A favorite summer tradition at our house is to grill out more. Which I love because my husband does the grilling and not much cleanup. I think summer is the family season!
