my favorite summer tradition is our big blowout 4th of July party. There is nothing like it! Adults and kids going down the slip and slide, barbeque, and family! Only 1 week until it's here!

Just being able to take advantage of the lazy days of summer. One of the advantages of being a SAHM. I love being able to sleep in and just deciding on the spur of the moment what we want to do that day. Whether it is going to the pool, doing little field trips to fun attractions or just lazing around. I love summer!

When I was a kid it was renting a motorhome and going to the beach in Prince Edward Island every summer. Now that we have our own home, its the pool, bbqs and bonfires! :)

We gather our family and friends at my in-laws on the 4th of July for a big dinner, homemade ice cream and fireworks over the lake....great memories for us, love watching the kids' eyes light up with the magic of the evening!

Ali = what great giveaways! My favorite tradition would be the traditional Father's Day BBQ we hold every year. My whole family is present and we have a great time. Something new which will now become a tradition is a Rootbeer Float Cake. Yum . . .

Since our country is so abundant with lovely beaches, we make it a point (especially during summer) to go somewhere we've never been. I don't think we'll run out of beaches to go to in years!

My most remembered summer tradition is going to the local farmers market and stocking up on freash picked sweet corn, the best tomatoes, and some yummy watermelon.

My favorite summer tradition is hosting a 4th of July party. We've had the family and the neighbors over each 4th for 7 years now. The kids love creating homemade invitations, decorating the house & pool area in red, white & blue, swimming & cooking out all day - and of course doing sparklers at night. Sometimes we end the evening with the whole neighborhood caravaning to the beach to watch fireworks.

Picnics with fingers and mouths sticky with watermelon juice and ice cold ice cream later in the evening. Just being with our family and sharing laughter and life.

My favorite summer tradition is the end of summer swim party my mother-in-law hosts. She has 6 children and 11 grandchildren who all gather for a pizza, swim and fun party. It's a great way for all us to sit around, laugh and share good times while the kids play in the pool.

There are many, but biggest summer tradition is going to the beach. I've been thinking about putting together an album of only beach shots...gotta get on that! Thanks, Ali, for the opportunity to win and the daily inspiration of your blog!

My favorite summer tradtion hands down is Emeralds Baseball games. There is nothing like the roar of the crowd with a bases loaded home run in our historic Civic Stadium to put a smile on your face. It's where family and friends can get together and experience a bit of home-town goodness.
(I've always felt so guilty for posting on giveaway days - are friends allowed to win ? But I've been debating the JBS class with BPS. That one is right up my alley. So, if I'm eligible - count me in ! )

We live on an island, so hitting the beach for play is the summer favorite. The kids can't go a few days without going to the beach :)
