One of my favorite summer traditions (at least since I moved from Minnesota to Missouri) is hanging out at the creek across the road from my house. It's spring-fed and refreshingly COLD!

Sleeping later than normal, being outside more and eating later. I like the laid-back feeling that summer brings.

Summer has a new meaning to me today. It means LIFE. I have spent the past month helping my father in law die peacefully with hospice with terminal cancer. I acheived this yesterday and realize how much scrapbooking and document life means to me. He always enjoyed my pages and by his death, more creativity is borne. So with this hot warm sunshine not only in my heart but in my soul, I will move on and document his journey for all to see

I love the bbq's with family & friends that last late into the evening, watching the kids catch fireflies while the adults visit.
Another summer tradition is our boys' lemonade stand

Our summer tradition is going camping at the beach and as much swimming time that we can get it. My son loves the water and gets him in a good mood, which is always a good thing for us!!

every summer my husband and i and a group of our friend go to our local polo match. We attend one in the beginning of the summer and one at the end. We back our cars up and have a huge picnic and all the kids run around having a blast. With everyones schedule its hard sometime for everyone to get together so this way we definetly see each other at least 2x.
