definitely having all the neighborhood in your front yard running through the sprinkler to cool off. I can still hear the squeals of delight from all of us enjoying such a simple thing.

It's a very simple one....I can remember running through a sprinkler nearly every day. Screeching like a girl, having a blast with the neighbors...oh to be young again!

My favorite summertime childhood memory is sitting outside with my neighbor friend, in our cool little summer pj's and playing or talking until it was time to go in. I remember how exciting it was to be able to stay up way later because there was no school in the morning.

My favorite summer memory is playing all day at the beach until your body was exhausted, then coming home to crash in bed for a bit and having mom wake me up for dinner.

Chasing fireflies in my backyard. My childhood memories are pretty sparse but I do remember this. I guess that's why I scrapbook.

I went to a little summer camp in the foothills of California for 6 weeks each summer as a kid... my fondest memories include singing along with the guitar around the fire, hiking every day and rinsing off with a swim, arts and crafts, sleeping under the stars (no tents!), and most of all, the amazing friends I made. I still keep in touch with many of them to this day :)

My favorite summertime memory would be when I was 11 and we moved across Canada. On the way we made it a holiday and travelled all across the US. We went to Disneyland, Universal Studioes, Knotts Berry Farm, and many other stops along the way. We had a great time!

A favourite memory has to be of the times we spent swimming, playing tag in the water and doing all sorts of diving antics - until the pool graniting had rubbed our toes so much, they hurt. Food & time didn't matter then ...

My favorite memory was when I spent a month with my grandparents in Greece where my aunt & uncle run a luxury hotel by the beach. Me and my cousin will spend the days by the pool or at the kid's club and will be able to order from the cooks anything we felt like. We really felt like the king and queen of a castle, lol.

Spending summers in Oregon with my grandparents. We would go thrift store shopping in Portland, hit every garage sale from North Plains to the coast. Tour the Tillamook cheese factory, the arcade at Seaside, clam digging at Happy Camp (which I am sad to report has been turned into vactation condos), and eat fresh U Pick strawberries untill I was sick!! These are memories that are especially dear to me now that my grandmother has dementia and is slowly losing all these and many other memories. I have started the tradion of taking my children from Montana to Oregon once a year so they can have these memories also. Thank you for the great giveaway!!

Going on our yearly trip to Magnolia Springs Alabama and dancing off the boat dock and into the river with my cousin. We did it for hours. Dance, sing, jump, climb the ladder....repeat.

Here in Ontario, the summer humidity and heat can get so bad you can't sleep. My parents would let me stay up WAY past my bedtime (they were usually pretty strict on bedtime, so this was a real treat) and I'd play in the backyard wading pool with friends until past nightfall when it would cool down a bit. It seemed magical!

Thanks Ali for bringing back the "kid" in all of us!. My favorite memories include just the freedom to play all day. My cousins and friends (one who is now my sister in law!-friend that is) would play day and swim all day- going from pool to pool in our backyards. We put on plays for the neighbors-even a swim show (can you tell I am blushing as I look back on this!) and then would make Barbie clothes or get in trouble at the Library for giggling too loud. Rock School, Car Tag, Red Light-Green Light, Horse, Clue, Life, Sorry, and of course marathon Monopoly- you name it- we played it. As we grew older, listening and dancing to 45's in our basements and of course "boy talk". How precious to recall all this. Thanks Ali!
