My favorite summertime memory is the summer vacations we took to our families farm in Minnesota. It was a fun chance for a "city" kid to learn the ways of the "country" kids! I so envied my "country" cousins!

My favorite memory was walking up to the ice cream shop with all seven family members after dinner on summer nights.

My favorite summertime memory is selling "halo-halo". It's a local summer favorite dessert made of mixed sweets such as sweet potato, cooked banana, rice crispies, sweet beans, jelly, etc. topped with ice and milk.

My favourite childhood summer memories are centered around the week long visit I would take to my grandparents' farm. Grampa giving us revels from the freezer in the pumphouse, going to bring the cows home, the smell of the big old log barn, the geese outside the garden fence, Gramma carrying baby potatoes to the kitchen in her apron - there are so many precious ones!

My favorite summertime memory was during my childhood when my extended family would get together for huge family picnics. I remember spending all day with my cousins playing basketball, rollerskating, and playing on the playground together. It was so much fun spending time with my family.

My favorite summer memory was when I would drag out my tin dollhouse onto the porch. I would get pots and pans and fill them with water and make pools and ponds for the dolls in the dollhouse. It was so much fun and I would sit in the hot outside for hours at a time....just playing dollhouse. I recently found one of the tin dollhouses at a garage sale and I snatched it up. It makes me happy just to look at it - without furniture, little plastic dolls, and no ponds or pools! *sigh*

Spending two weeks with my grandparents on a farm. I got to milk a cow! Played outside and played cards with my grandma, I think she taught me like 100 ways to play solitare! I returned home on my first airplane ride (solo!) and my parents had re-decorated my room.

My favorite summertime memory is the time I spent with my Grandma. She, and we, were pretty poor, but I fondly remember what a treat I thought it was to spend the day at her house on the hill. Climbing her lemon trees, eating lemons off the tree, cming in only for lunch, hiding out, making forts with my dolls...I had so much fun! At night she'd let me have the much coveted but never allowed at home (too "junk food like")....a Swanson TV dinner! I'd get to sit with her, with a TV tray, with my TV dinner, and stay up watching The Love Boat and Fantasy Island. I thought it was just the best!

My grandma lived on a big hill, with plenty of lush, carpet grass. My sisters and cousins and I would lay at the top and roll down to the bottom super fast, landing right in tall flowers at the base of the hill.

my favorite childhood memories all have to do with Lake Powell in Arizona. We went there every year and had a blast. All the cares and stresses of the world seemed to disappear when we were there.

I can't just choose one. Sleeping out on the huge porch with cousins & siblings. Playing outside until the sun went down. Camping...almost the whole summer. Dad taking all 6 of us kids fishing early in the morning before the sun came up. Sabbath afternoon hikes with friends & family. Going to grammas house and the "dilly man truck". A 24 hour drive in our station wagon with 6 kids and the hottest summer ever!
Those are just a few...Thanks for asking!!

My favorite memories were going to the beach and camping in the mountains. My sister and I would crack each other up - and for some reason there was so much more to laugh about on summer vacation! Good times.

My favorite childhood memory is the annual drive my family would make from CA to TX to visit family. I didn't always appreciate it, but I am so glad that we were able to spend so much time together!

Favorite summertime memory is hunting down in the creek with my grandma's cat named DC in Lincoln City, Oregon. We mostly caught craw dads in the creek. Great times.

My parents had a large built in pool. I have a lot of memories of so many lazy days spent playing in the water and just soaking up the sun. Having a pool meant having lots of company too:) It was so much fun.
