My favourite is being able to sit outside in the evening with my grandmother as she shared stories and songs with me back from her homeland as I watched the stars above.

My favorite summer memories were going up north and renting a cabin every summer. Fishing, relaxing, so much fun!

Going to the Sweet Corn & Watermelon Festival in my hometown. There was a parade and local ladies would showcase their homegoods made with sweet corn and watermelon, but the highlight was going up to the stands on the town square and getting a big juicy slice of ice cold watermelon to cool off, then a big ear of roasted corn and peeling back the husk to taste those explosive kernels that seemed to be made of sugar! Yum!

One of my favorite childhood memories...water fights with my Dad. We chased each other all the yard and got soaked. It was the best fun!

My grandparents live in Geneva, Switzerand and we went to visit them every Summer. I remember going to this incredible park that was a block awa from their apartment and spendng the day swimming, playing and trying to speak French to the kids. Then we would stop at this little bakery on the way home and choose something different every day, there was nothing that didn't taste good. The bst days were when we went to the lake and took a boat ride and got sprayed by the water in the middle of the lake and then we went to visit my grandfather at work and we each got to choose a watch from his sample collection. Those were the best summer memories.

The last family vacation with my family to California was very memorable. I would want to do scrapbook, and I will, that vacation.

My summers growing up were spent camping with my family and friends. I can't remember one specific trip because they all kind of go together, but the swimming, bike riding, flashlight tag, and campfires are all elements of what it means to be a kid during the summertime!

I saw the 4th of July fireworks at the same place every year with my dad. I lived in Az all my life, so summers were spent mostly indoors, but that was one thing we always went out for.

mine would have to be when we went camping with our horses. It was so much fun to go camping but even better when we brought the horses with us. We got to ride horses all day and got to do all the fun stuff of camping too.

a favourite summer memory would be eating watermelon outside and letting it run all over the place, then running thru the sprinkler to get cleaned up and go back for more watermelon! ohhhh the best of times.

My favorite childhood summer memory is going to my Grandma's place on the lake and sitting on the deck and then cooking with the fresh blackberries we would pick along the road! I cherish those memories now more than ever since she passed away in April!

One of my favorite summer memories is going to the beach all day. The hot sand, cool water, chili fries, the background noises of kids, radios and waves. The way I felt tired, happy and hungry. Squishing in the backseat with my brothers and sister for the ride home. I could use a trip to the beach now.

Growing up in Wyoming summer was a wonderful time! Finally warm weather and sunshine to go outside and play. My favorite was hanging out with friends near the river. We were either fishing or swimming, but we were always near the water.

My favorite memory was going to Missouri with my family for vacation at my Aunt and Uncle's house. They had a little general store on the front of their home, and my uncle would let me help him stock shelves. We'd go to the park and swim all day and then go to country music shows at night. Such good memories. I looked forward to it every year.

My favorite childhood summertime memory is of camping in the backyard with my brother and sister and swimming in our pool at night. I can't wait for my kids to eventually experience the fun that summer brings and hope that they too enjoy camping out in the backyard someday!

My favorite childhood memory is going to my grandparent's house for 4th of July. They had this huge family BBQ with hot dogs, hamburgers, chips etc. My whole family came. It was actually my favorite day of the year besides my birthday.

I remember being at the pool with my younger siblings. They closed due to a rain shower with some lightning--those kind of Chicago sudden showers in August. We had no way to call our mom to pick us up early so we all danced in the parking light in the rain. We felt crazy and free and I loved it.

My fave summertime memory is going to the South Side of Chicago and having a family reunion with "the Kennedy's", as mom called them (it was their last name, but since i was half-Polish, it seemed so cool to have Kennedy cousins especially in Chicago). We'd fish in the forest preserve lake and eat KFC chicken that one time a year. Yum!

Lopsided ponytails and a fudgesicle face every day - riding around the neighborhood like a terror on the banana seat of my blue bike. Good times!

Family trips to the beach! The sound of the waves, the feeling of warm sand on my feet - I still love it!
