Sponsor Giveaways: SewCute Shop

Sewcutegiveaway

One person will receive a Women's Auty Top from SewCute Shop (you will be able to choose your own fabric from her current stock):

Here's a little bit about SewCute Shop and Brandy's mission to do something really good for another family:

I started sewing sometime last year and fell in love. My grandmother (Nana) taught me the basics of pinning patterns, hemming, and seams. After being taught those skills I have really been a self-taught seamstress. I have a true love for putting the most trendy fabrics together and making 'SewCute' items. The items I place in SewCute Shop are my favorites and I am very happy to make them for you.

In March 2009 my best friend's little boy was suddenly diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) - a degenerative brain disease. The movie 'Lorenzo's Oil was made to bring awareness to this newly discovered disease. In early April, Joel, Teresa and Riley Greene aka TEAMGREENE were moved from Chattanooga, TN to Durham, NC where Riley would spend what they thought 100 days after receiving a bone marrow transplant. Due to complications, this week marks 133 TEAMGREENE has been in Duke Hospital.

I made a pledge to donate all proceeds from SewCute Shop to TEAMGREENE until they returned home in Chattanooga. For me sewing has become much more than just a hobby it has been a small part of what allows my best friend to stay by her son's side. For more information on TEAMGREENE visit www.carepages.com/carepages/teamgreene and create a username/password.

When I'm not sewing away I enjoy spending time with my fabulous husband, Ty and two children Autumn (9) and Tyler (2).

I had Brandy make one of these for Anna (see above) and one of these for me (love wearing it over my jeans) and they are awesome.

Too cute giveaway. With losing some "baby" weight finally, I'm starting to update my wardrobe as well as my style and this is such a great find. thanks for sharing. As far as favorite charity...I'm a big PBS supporter. We move a lot and it's nice to have some consistant good television for the kids to watch here and there and the PBS kids clubs have been so much fun for my children thus far. Www.pbs.org.

I donate time at the Nexus Recovery Center in Mesquite, TX. This is a drug and rehab center for women of all ages. The program there is unique in that women with children can stay without having to leave their children with others. I work with a small team of women and we support the teen girls that are there. We go on a quarterly basis and show the girls paper crafts and then they get to make the projects. Usually things like cards, journals, small treat packages, etc. We've been working at this center for 3 yrs now.
What a blessing you are to your friends.

The charity I suppose donates proceeds to childhood cancer research. A college friend's child was diagnosed with leukemia which brought my attention to this cause.

my favourite charity is the children's hospital where my twins were born - they were three months premature and had lots of obstacles to overcome. with amazing technology and lots of love and faith they were saved and nurtured and now they are happy, healthy six year olds. amazing. we owe that hospital and its staff everything.

How adorable. I am going to have to check out this website and see what adorable things she is making. And I am also excited to read more about your readers favorite charities and maybe find a favorite for myself. My favorite is the Huruma House in Africa for orphans. Our church is supporting them, as one woman (as her husband died earlier this year) is providing for and taking care of 150 children and teaching them that they have value and how much God loves them.

North Shore Animal League. We're cat-lovers here, and would love to adopt more pets... but since we really can't have them all (yikes, four is plenty!), we're inclined to donate to no-kill animal shelters.

Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House in Seattle is where my heart is. My best friend's son was diagnosed with A.L.L. (leukemia) and that's where they lived for 3 years. Praise the Lord he is in remission and cancer free! He was 2 1/2 yrs old when this happened and he's now 12. He is a survivor!

Oh wow, I just love those tops!!! Since I have Lupus I would have to say my fave charity is The Lupus Foundation http://www.lupus.org/newsite/index.html. Its still a pretty unknown disease and could certainly do with more funds for research as there has been no cure found, and no new drugs for Lupus found in over 50 yrs now. They have just found a new one lately though that looks very promising. Very exciting for sufferers like myself.
