Your tops are absolutely gorgeous and your mission is wonderful. Keep up the great work. I personally do a lot of work for our local hospital as a volunteer for their events and by donating to their various funds.

My favorite charity is United Way (Delaware or Columbus). I had little to no exposure to United Way until I joined a company that strongly supports them. Now I pledge and also volunteer to organize fund-raising events to benefit them. I think it's just insane that there are kids in our local communities who are not fed 3 square meals a day - sometimes the meals provided at school is the only meal they get.

I'm so tired of being scared of every little lump and bump I find, especially considering family history... My 2 year old son now has several enlarged lymph nodes in his neck and beind his ears that are completely normal, but still freak me out.
Cancer sucks. Big time.

Hi Ali,
My favorite charity is known as "Product RED". It is a global non-profit group that has sought sponsorship through many big businesses (ex. Hallmark, Starbucks Coffee), as well as small grass-root efforts. The proceeds and donations they earn go towards the purchase and distribution of little red pills that can combat AIDS in Africa.

We had an event called "Bra's for a Cause" You donated old un-used bras and a company paid 5 $ for every donated bra to the breast cancer research fund. After that they cleaned the bra's and gave them to the Women's shelter. Its held every year in October.

I work as a Pediatric Social Worker with children with type 1 diabetes. I live in Canada, where families have universal health care and access to government program that can help cover the cost of supplies including but not limited to: insulin, test strips, and syringes. Unfortunately for a child in a developing country they may be able to afford these costly supplies. Sometimes families are forces to make the difficult decision whether to put food on the table or pay for medications. As a result some children died when there is treatment available.
Last year my collegues and I decided that instead of Christmas gifts, we would use that money to donate to the charity: Life for a Child:
www.lifeforachild.idf.org
This program is run by the International Diabetes Federation and helps over 1200 children and families from 19 countries recieve life sustaining therapy. Although, diabetes is a chronic disease, which at times can be difficult to manage, children can grow up to live healthy productive lives. Life for a Child helps kids do that and that is why it is my favourite charity.

Prior to moving a few years ago, I volunteered every year for http://www.christmasinoctober.org/ with my dad. It is one of my favorite volunteer activities to participate in and an incredible cause to support.

My Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in April, so I would say the Susan G. Komen Foundation is currently at the top of the list. Great giveaway - I LOVE the name and those tops were so cute too.
