Dear Kokuyo Dot-N-Roller I Will Miss You So

Yes, it's pretty silly and a tad melodramatic to be sad at the loss of my favorite adhesive.
But when you work with adhesive as much as I do, and you finally find one that is reliable and feels darn good in your hand, it's a big bummer to have it go away. Yep, in case you haven't heard yet Kokuyo will not be distributing the Dot N Roller in the US anymore.
I am starting to test out some other permanent brands including the Tombow Mono, the Therm-O-Web Memory Tape Runner (I like many of their other adhesives), and the 3L Easy Runner (which I don't like as much because I found that I like dots rather than tabs). I am still resisting that Scotch ATG mainly because it seems so big and bulky, but I might just have to try it after reading so many positive reviews both in comments here and elsewhere. If you use the ATG do you use the red one or the yellow one? Does it go on like dots or tabs?
So what are you testing out or using now?

im so glad i never got hooked on the dot-n-roller, id be so upset.
i have the red atg (1/4 inch-figured id i wanted the 1/2 inch i'd just run it twice) which i ordered from framingsupplies.com
it's not dot or a tab-it's more of a strip.
the cheapest refills ive found have been on thetapedepot.com they have removable and permanent rolls and they ship pretty quickly.
seriously, lasts foreeever.

I have both the yellow and red guns. I love the yellow. I never tried Kokuyo that I remember but I tried dozens and hated them all before buying my guns. Before them, I used Alene's tacky glue for everything and settled for the lumps. Not anymore, I am happy to say. I love my yellow ATG gun.

I just used the Kokuyo for the first time and fell and love with it. So I went looking to buy some, and was wondering why it was so hard to find, when I came upon your post. I'm very mad that I didn't stock up before!

I might have found a replacement for Kukoyo's Dot-n-roller...
Since you seem to do your shopping at scrapbook.com, you might already have found the Dot Glue Runner from Ad Tech. Haven't tried it yet, but will place an order tonight.
I haven't followed your blog in a while - maybe you have written about this already..? Anyway - I hope you find it useful!

The August 2025 updates to manav sampada have introduced stricter compliance rules for leave management. Employees must now verify their status within forty-eight hours to avoid administrative penalties. This move encourages discipline and ensures that public offices remain adequately staffed, ultimately providing better services to citizens through this highly structured and efficient digital system.
