What gorgeous giveaways! I have so many favorite traditions it's difficult to pick just one, however one that my kids & I have really enjoyed is making & decorating cut-out cookies that tell the Christmas story with different shapes representing the different parts of the story. We bag them together and put on a tag explaining the significance of the shapes and give them to friends. :) We read the book "The Sweetest Story Ever Told" and it's fun to mess up the kitchen together!
Also this year we're going to be using the adorable tag advent ideas I downloaded last year (from ???) and I'll put up one for each of the 12 days preceding Christmas (make cocoa, snowflake cutting party, make gingerbread house), etc. My kids LOVE the surprise factor of this. :)

Fabulous prizes! My favorite December tradition is reading Jesus' birth in Luke. Second favorite is watching Christmas classic movies.

My favorite December tradition is putting up our family tree. We look at our ornaments and each holds a special memory. We talk about where and when we got them. We look at these as markers of our lives as a family and as a couple. Somtimes I can get so emotional looking at some of them. This is something special that we all look forward to each year.

Our favorite tradition is holding off on celebrating our little family christmas until all the big celebrations are done. It's nice to have a calm holiday with just the 4 of us after all of the crazy celebrations with so many people.

my favorite winter tradition... probably having a real Christmas tree. Every year, my dad will cut off the end of it and make us all smell it - its delicious! And one year, I was gone for Christmas, and the first thing he did when i got home (in April!!) was make me smell the end of the christmas tree that he had saved for me!

We attend the Nutcracker every year. Of course, my daughters have danced the last ten years in productions here with Alberta Ballet and Ballet Memphis.

my favorite December tradition is doing a daily activity from the advent calendar with my boys, and especially baking a birthday cake for Jesus with them. they remind me every year of it's importance :)

We get into the car and drive around looking at Christmas tree lights in the neighborhoods after dark. With our cameras set to high ISOs we capture our favorites digitally! Instant Christmas mood maker.

On Christmas Eve, my father reads the Christmas story to all the grandkids. Love that!

Our favorite December tradition has become the Elf on the Shelf. My 7 year old loves this! It's like a mini Christmas morning every day of December to him!
