Great giveaway! One of our favorite traditions is heading up to the local tree farm and cutting down our own Christmas tree. Always a big hit for this house full of boys (ages 5, 6, & 36!)

People in college thought I was simply crazy - but all I wanted for Christmas was to go and see my family. We grew up all so close in the same town, and by college we have spread across 2 countries, and more thousands of miles than I care to think about.
My Favorite Holiday tradition is simply FAMILY.

The first night the tree is up and all decorated, we let the kids sleep in the living room with all the tree lights on. Sort of a slumber party and a great kickoff to the season. There's something special about sleeping in the room with the glow of the lights!

It is a newly created tradition... only 5 years old... On December 1st, we crack open the box where all the Christmas books/movies/music is stored since January 2 and from now on, bedtimes stories with my 2 girls (4 and 7) are magic!

My favorite holiday tradition is putting up our tree. I keep saying, I would like to go for a "decorator" theme tree. But the kids still like to look at all the ornaments we have collected over the years. Some store bought and alot were made by them.

One of my favorite December traditions is getting my picture taken in front of my grandmother's tree. We have done it every year since I was old enough to sit on my own and I love going back and looking at them through the years.
