Our favorite December tradition is to ride the Santa Train with my parents and aunt and uncle. We all have a great time watching out the window, listening to carols, and visting with Santa! We each bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots and we enjoy lunch together after the ride.

My favorite December tradition is listening to all the Christmas music while sitting next to the twinkle lights of the Christmas tree.

When I was little my mom and older sister always read "Twas the night before Christmas" to me on Christmas eve. This is by far one of my favorite Christmas traditions if not one of my favorite childhood memories. I can't wait to have a child so I can carry on the tradition.

My favorite Christmas tradition is sharing the oplatek at christmas eve dinner. It's made of the same stuff as communion wafer but isn't blessed. We each get a piece and you go to each person at dinner and break a piece off of the other persons and eat it. It gets a little messy with kids but its a way of "breaking bread" It helps share the rich eastern european catholic traditions with the kids and us third generation'ers.

One of my favorite December traditions is going to Zoo Lights every year. Our local zoo is dazzled up with billions of lights, some of them are animated animals. It is spectacular.

always a favorite of mine is baking cookies for Santa with my daughter...many others, but I hope she always wants to do that!

my boys are still little, so we are still kind of in the process of defining our family traditions, but what i have enjoyed doing most so far (and we're going today) is getting the Christmas tree. the place we go to is a "choose and cut" so finding the right tree is half the fun. inside the tree farm main building is a model train room which my older son loves to watch. they also have a kids train table set up, so we end up spending lots of time there too.

My favorite {old} Christmas tradition is waking up early with my sisters to see what Santa brought us... even after I got married!
My favorite {new} tradition is buying my kiddos their Christmas PJs and everyone changing into them before we open the rest of our gifts.

my favorite december tradition is...every year on my daughters birthday my husband buys her flowers. This traditon began when she was 4 and she told him "Daddy today is my birthday, you should get me flowers." He did. And he has done it every year since, she will be 17 in a few days. She loves it as much as he does.

Our favorite December tradition is to get together with my husband's family for christmas eve for dinner and we play bingo and win corny prizes!

Making Pizzelle an Italian cookie with a hint of anise flavor. My children look forward to this wonderful Christmas treat. YUM!

What great photos of your kiddos. Hmm..favorite tradition? The day after Christmas shopping with my mom. It is just her and I and we get up really early like Black Friday and go shopping. We talk so much that we usually have sore throats by the time we come home!

Lighting a fire and wrapping presents with the hubby after the kids go to sleep.

I love decorating the tree & looking at each of our ornaments...they bring back such wonderful memories!

my all time favourite has to be putting up the christmas tree together with my family, then stepping back to admire it in its full glory.
