We still celebrate my grandparents' wedding anniversary on Christmas Eve by eating chili together as a family. It'll be 4 years since they've both been gone this Christmas Eve, but we'll still be celebrating and remembering them by having chili.

I think our favorite December tradition is the one that we're about to go do today.....selecting the tree that we will take home, put in the living room, and decrate together! (A very close second would be the drive I take the kidlets on to see all the Christmas lights in and around town! :>)

My family began a tradition of celebrating Christmas one day each week in December. It's just me and 2 kids (20 and 24 years old). I devised this so I would be guarenteed more time with them. They fell for it because they get to open one gift(of my choice) each time we meet. There is a theme to each meeting. Always one of the days is a monopoly game, A movie night and last year we also had a concert night. Alot of fun.

These giveaways are amazing. Our favorite tradition is decorating the tree I think. My husband and I started collecting blown glass ornaments when we got married and each year it is so fun to bring them out and remember what we have, and add to the collection. The boys love it as well and then Daddy puts the angel on the top of the tree. There are usually lots of treats, egg nog, and snacks involved too!

It's too hard to pick just one - decorating the tree, making toffee, driving around the neighborhood to look at lights!

My favorite family tradition is every year I buy Hallmark ornament Keepsake ornament for each of my 4 children that reflects that child's life for that year (if at all possible some time nothing relates and I go for the one they like the best) and I have done this since they were each born. When we decorate the tree I spend time alone with each child and we unpack and place on the tree their ornaments starting from the newest and going back the the 1st ornament they every got. We talk about each one and I listen to their memories from that year. At the end of the holidays they each help me put their ornaments away carefully. When they have a tree of their own I will give them their ornaments as a starter for their tree and hopefully very fond memories of Christmas as a child.
