We started a new tradition this year. On Dec. 1, we take the day off from school or work if it is a weekday and go into our city to do some Christmas activities. We had a great time this year.

We all love driving around every Friday night to look at Christmas lights. We stop at our favorite local coffee shop for to-go fancy drinks for adults and ohh and ahh over the lights. It's the best.

Going out to cut down our Christmas tree is one of my favorite traditions, even when it is cold, raining, and windy as it was this year.

Our favorite tradition during the holidays is the devotions/discussion we have around the dinner table. We have a Jesse Tree and each night we take turns opening one of the presents that will go on the tree and we talk about how it relates to Christmas.

I'll change my mind tomorrow, but today it is opening all the boxes and seeing all the decorations and ornaments that we haven't seen usually in 2 yrs (because we travel to family every other). It's more exciting then opening presents because of all the memories and stories that come with them!

What fabulous prizes! My favorite December tradition is having a family breakfast with all the aunt, uncles, cousins, everyone. We make my mother's amazing cinnamon rolls (the dough takes 3 days prep), eggs, cocoa, sausages, etc. It's such a wonderful time together!
