One of my faves is buying a new hardcover holiday children's book to enjoy each December with the kids. This year it was Fancy Nancy Splendiferous Christmas, which we've been reading each night since we bought it...such fun! :)

There are already 795 comments, so my chances are slim, but I would LOVE one of those photo giveaways! Fingers crossed! :)
I am really working on creating fun holiday memories with my children, and I LOVE all of our little traditions -- they are still young, so I am sure we'll add a few more each year. The daily countdown calendar has been a highlight both last year and so far this year... Thanks for the chance!

One of my favorite traditions is to create and make anew handmade ornaments for my daughter and her two children. This year is one of my favorites because I made tags with silver coated angel wings and a head shot of my mother when she was a child along with some other little embellishments - what fun!

My favorite December tradition is attending Christmas Eve Mass at midnight. There is something about being out in the crisp, stillness of the night and going in to praise God. Love it!!

My favorite December tradition is going to the paint your own pottery studio with the kids and watching them paint their Christmas ornaments. I started this when my son was a baby (I painted his first one for him). This year he is 12 and my daughter is 10. We have quite the collection of ornaments and they will have a wonderful start to their own collection when it is time for them to get their own trees.

Decorating our tree each year and having Christmas stockings are two of many traditions I look forward to each December! I'm very grown up and I still just adore finding out what is tucked down into my Christmas stocking each year! With the tree-it's looking at each and every ornament and remembering who it's from, who made it, or where it came from. We buy ornaments on our vacations and trips-sometimes improvising if ornaments aren't availble for purchase. I miniature sombrero reminds us of a trip to Mexico for example... A sachet from our honeymoon hangs on our tree as an ornament too. It's like a giant scrapbook-chock full of memories....

It has to be Christmas Eve service followed by driving around looking at Christmas lights. I was one of 4 girls and man could we GROAN about this tradition. But we all loved it and Christmas isn't Christmas with a little cold drive at close to midnight.

I think I would have to go with making the rounds to all 4 of our children's great-grandparent's houses on Christmas Day. My husband and I are blessed to have grandparents (and parents) still living in the same city, so we see them ALL every Christmas. Thanks again for your fantastic giveaways Ali!

My favorite December tradition is one that we did today! It is what we call Santa Day, and all of our family and friends come over to our house to take pictures with Santa (my dad). We hang out, talk, eat, take pictures, and just have a great time.

I love decorating our tree with my son. He is 3 1/2 this year and is really in the Christmas spirit! It's so fun to see his reaction to everything.
