Awesome giveaways, as usual. My favorite tradition is decorating the day after Thanksgiving. Perfect transition.

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is opening up our box of Christmas books (children's picture books.) It's so much fun to "discover" them again after not seeing them for a year.

My favorite December tradition happens every Christmas Eve. As kids, we were allowed to open one gift before going to bed, and it was always new pajamas, so that we'd be presentable for pictures the next morning. I continue the tradition with my own family now, and it's our first Christmas with a baby, so my husband and I are so excited to keep this going.

My favorite tradition is decorating my house. I don't decorate for other holidays, but Christmas, I go all out!

My 16 year old son and I make dinner for our family and two other families during the holiday season. Five courses, everything homemade and we put hours into the menu and the table. I always say I am finished when he won't do this dinner with me. Now the other families bribe him all year long.
The guys wear ties and the gals dress up and it has been a great way for all of our boys to show off their manners.

for the past 5 or so years we get together with several other families on Christmas Eve (afternoon) to go bowling. We all have small kids age 1 to 13 and it's just the perfect activity: low-key and everyone can enjoy it.

Wow....this one got me thinking....I would say my favorite Christmas tradition is going to my parents on Christmas Eve for dinner and to exchange presents. I love watching my daughter get excited that night and also the anticipation for the next morning. I also love to ride around and look at Christmas lights.

Our favorite tradition is setting up the nativity before any other Christmas decorations. We put it out one piece at a time, explaining the significance of each one.

I love the simple traditions that involve us being together! Decorating the tree, making meals, singing carols, wrapping presents... I love it all!

Every year I buy an ornament for each of our boys which they open just before we begin decorating the tree. It is the first ornament they put on the tree. I pick an ornament that reflects something they've done the past year or their current interest. They love looking and talking about all their old ornaments. I have always said they can take the ornaments with them when they grow up and move but I don't know if I'll be able to part with them. :)

Our family has quite a few traditions, but I think my favorite is the kids picture with Santa. They are still at a young age to understand the "older" traditions, but watching them with Santa is so priceless. They just glow when they see him (and his bucket of candy canes, of course) :-)

Our family loves to have somebody dress as Santa and give Christmas PJ's to all of the grandkids on Christmas Eve.

When I get together with my family, I love that we still open gifts youngest to oldest. Taking turns really helps make the holiday last and allows us to thank each other for the gifts.

My favorite December tradition is going to Christmas Eve church service and singing silent night with the lights off and the candles glowing!

For years we have a tradition that on Christmas Eve while we're at church Santa brings everyone Christmas pajamas!! We end up wearing those pajames to bed and most of the next day. We enjoy a family brunch in our pajamas after we open gifts and look in our stockings. It's comfortable and relaxing!! Even though the kids are all in their 20's now they still ask if they are going to get pajamas for Christmas. Luckily my soon to be son-in-law enjoyed the tradition when he spent Christmas last year with us.
