My favorite December tradition is driving around and looking at Christmas lights while listening to Christmas music! I also love our churches' Christmas Eve Mass when the youth group acts out Joesph and Mary's travel to Bethlehem and the Nativity Scene.

I have 2 favorites one I think I got from your blog a year or two ago. I wrap 24 various christmas books and put them in a basket and my daughter picks one out each day during the month leading up to Christmas. And my other top tradition, well it's new to us this year but I can tell it's going to be one that my daughter will look forward to each year and that is The Elf on the Shelf! Have you heard of this it's a book and an elf set, basically you move the elf around to a new hiding spot each day and your child or children have to figure out where that is. But this is no ordinary elf, this elf is magical and flies back to Santa each night to give a daily update on your child- but before your child wakes the elf has "flown back" to find a new hiding spot for that day. I love the giggles that this elicits in my daughter each day when she figures out where that sneaky elf has hidden this time.
thanks,

My favorite December traditions are decorating the tree together and each ornament has a sentimental memory attached to it so we spend hours picking one up and saying, "Do you remember when...?" Christmas eve we always watch Christmas Vacation and pick out which of our family reminds us of each character in the movie. I can't forget putting on my favorite Christmas music and driving around looking at all of the magical christmas lights. Thanks for the chance to win such awesome prizes. Your blog is so inspirational and down to earth.

Excellent give aways! My grandfather has a coin jar that we as kids were allowed to extract one handfull from. As much money as you could fit in one fistful and still get your hand back out of the jar. I enjoy watching my kids try to figure out the tricks for getting their own handfulls out now!

My favorite tradition is taking a random night and driving through our neighborhood to look at the lights. My boys (now 15 and 17) still get excited to do this. I think in part because it is simple and really un-planned and of course the lights are a bit of bling! Merry Christmas, Christ is born!

My favorite December traditions include playing in the snow with my dog and choosing my Christmas cards. i don't send very many cards and I don't have time to make my own so I like to find some that feel perfect.

Awesome give aways!! Our entire family has gotten into the tradition of my son's nutcracker collection - it's so fun hunting one down with his specific interests of the year. This year it was a football nutcracker wearing his teams' colors!
