One of my favorite December traditions is sledding with my boys. They love the snow and I love taking an entire day to do nothing but play in the beautiful white stuff with them. Thanks as always for the opportunity to win some fabulous gifts!

I will share one from when I was a kid - growing up, my favorite December tradition was me and my sibs all crowding onto the floor in one room to sleep on Christmas Eve. Naturally that meant less sleeping and more late night whispering! Then Santa would leave our stockings just outside the door so as to keep us busy a while longer in the morning.
Golly, I need to scrap that one. :)

My favorite December tradition is having my daughter choose a holiday book to read every night. We love the fact that she is so interested in books even though she's only coming up to her 2nd birthday :)

My favorite tradition is gathering with family from all sides. All year we are too busy with everyday life to visit and chat and just be together. So on Christmas eve and Christmas day we gather with my in-laws (and many cousins of my husbands) and my extended family for some good food and fellowship. It was a close run between being with family and watching my 5 year old decorate our Christmas tree (which would be a newly started tradition since she hasn't done it before this year). All of the ornaments are at 5 year old height! Although, I wouldn't trade it for anything! :)

Hi Ali - I just got my Jan edition of CK magazine. I sure missed your article! May favorite Dec tradition is creating the atmosphere of abundance (in the form of time, activities, food, etc) that seemed so magical to me when I was a kid. I don't have children (yet) and my husband and I live away from family so we actually don't have a lot of traditions (that I can think of at the moment).

My favorite tradition each holiday is getting together with all my little godbrothers & godsisters (at least 20 of us)to celebrate New Year's. We're carrying on a tradition where all of our parents used to get together each New Year when we were little babies/kids (and some are not even born yet!) eating & having tons of fun. Now it's the "kids" turn. =)

My favorite December tradition is a game my Sister and Husband play. They compete each year to see who can get the other person the ugliest present (under $10.) It's a fun process and always hilarious to see what they pick out. :-D

My Christmas starts with loads of Christmas music and getting the tree set up. This year the tree will have a special ornament to symbolize my dad who just passed away a month ago. He is so missed - this ornament will be in the tree from this year on and I have thus started a new tradition this year!
Dear Ali and beautiful family, have a happy holiday season! Anna's first Christmas - how sweet!
