My favorite tradition is taking our daughter to get pictures with Santa. It's fun to look back every year at times she was excited or scared or anxious. They are some of the funniest pictures.

My favorite Christmas tradition is to purchase a photo ornament each year to place on the tree. Some years we get a family photo ornament too. It makes decorating the tree so memorable. We each love looking at the old photos and other ornaments with special memories.

I love putting the tree up as a family. I love hearing my grown children hang the ornaments starting sentences with "Remember this one..." and then going on to tell the stories behind the ornaments.

My husband was NOT really thrilled with our family's tradition when he married me.....Mom always cooks fried oysters with our Christmas morning breakfast Ü Even when it is just the two of us for Christmas, I still make a small batch just for me.

My favorite Christmas tradition is watching the lights of the (huge!) Christmas tree on the marketsquare get lit. That evening the whole town is only illuminated by Christmas lights.

I have several favorite traditions so it's hard to choose. But I guess staying up late and watching Holiday Inn and Christmas in Connecticut with just the Christmas tree lights and a few candles. Brings back lots of memories of my childhood.
Thanks for the giveaway Ali!

My favorite December tradition is our activity calendar...a cross-stitched daily calendar with spots for an activity a day. I grew up doing it and now my kids love it!

One of my most favorite traditions is the simple. Right after Thanksgiving I swap out our coffee mugs and everyday dishes with assorted christmas mugs and holiday china. We use them everyday right up through New Years. It is festive and free and hard to be crabby when drinking from a snowman mug. Love that new standout finish!

My favorite Christmas tradition is when we get all bundled up to go to a local childrens park that gets decorated for Christmas. They do a great job with loads of beautiful lights and the kids really enjoy looking at the park in a different way and riding the kiddie train in the dark with the park all lit up.

Two traditions, both involving Christmas lights! First we always go to the Night Lights display at the Columbus Zoo -- amazing year after year. Another evening we dress in our pjs, get hot chocolate, blankets and holiday music and drive through the local Festival of Lights. Then we drive around the neighborhood and pick our favorite light display. Magical.
