Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

My word is RELEASE. To me, it means stress and self-imposed negative talk. By doing so, I can actually calm myself down and focus on things I need to do without beating myself up. I plan on releasing my physical things to so that clutter in the home does not impede our lifestyle and happiness. One plan of action, is to take a moment and quiet myself down and calmly breathe in and out to release any stress/anxieties to come my way. Then off I am to tackle the world! Ali, thanks for all your inspiration and lovely giveaways to inspire us.

Not sure of a word choice, but plan to focus on "now" and moving forward after a very bumpy few years. I'm not promised tomorrow, and will try to live each day I'm given to the fullest and make memories and not mistakes I'll regret.

My word for this year will be create, I just (31.12.2009) quit my scrapbooking business after 4 years to have more time for my family, friends and hobbies (scrapbooking & cupcakes). To finally be able to create things with all the inspiration I have instead of just saving up all the ideas for when I have more time ....

I am still working on finding my word for 2010 - or letting it find me. I have several that have been in my mind - LISTEN and FEARLESS and REINVENT. This year needs to be a year in which I start over in a lot of areas of my life that I have just let go in the past 2-3 years.
Thanks for all you share. I am looking forward to hearing your stories in 2010!

I am going for "NO Judgement" this year. Have found myself becoming way too judgemental the last few years. Not going to worry about stuff that doesn't affect me!!

I'm still mulling over ideas for my word this year. I have a couple that I'm tossing around before I pick "the one". :) I LOVE this word idea (have done it the past two years) and you have been such an inspiration with this, Ali, thank you! My husband and I are already making some changes in our budget for the year as well as some ways that we can be more focused on our family - I'm excited about these changes!

I don't have a word picked but my resolution is to be better prepared for the next Christmas season. Instead of leaving nearly everything until December, I plan to start gifts now, make and freeze cookie dough in November, plan more holiday activities with the kids. I really want to take in all that the season has to offer. I often find that by not beeing more prepared, it's gone before I had a chance to enjoy it. So I guess my word is "preparation".

Now is my word.
I did some self reflection and realized that I let *someone* scare me into not purchasing my own place because I am single. I had planned on always waiting till my prince charming came so we could do this together. After much thought, the numbers told me that of course I could do it I moved in , just before Christmas after 10 years of renting.
Now, I am going to do things for me.
Now, I am not going to wallow in the fact that I am *without a spouse*. As I now have some wall space for those empty canvas's I have been saving.
My first action is to get out my Silhouette and design some vinyl that I ca use to stencil onto a square canvas, with my word on it.
Thanks Ali!

My word is ENJOY. I am enjoying where my kids are right now at the ages of 9 and 6. The clever things they say and do. The way they interpret the world. They are still so innocent about so many things. I am going to enjoy that for the year.

Our word is "healthy"... I say our because hubby is jumping in too... we are going to get our family healthy in ALL aspects. We began with a great walk yesterday. Teaching our kids to be healthy begins with us, and can't be done with out a good example. We plan to set goals as a family and meet them slowly together.
