Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

My word is Shine. Getting out and being inspired by my surroundings is one way that will help me shine. So I am planning a monthly date afternoon/evening with husband in downtown Chicago (we live in the suburbs) to explore and take advantage of all the city has to offer. And to treat myself to a true break from the daily routine of life with two little guys. (PS Love your giveaways this week!)

Not sure of my word yet.... I want something that captures being myself and accepting myself the way I am, all about me, including mistakes I make... I thing it will be something like 'accepting' or maybe 'embrace' .... hope to set it soon!
Thanks for the great giveaways!

I've been struggling with choosing my word, but when I woke up this morning the word RELEASE was on my mind. As I've been thinking about it today, it seems perfect. Thanks for always inspiring me!

Last year my word was "live" as my son had just received a heart transplant and we did "live" as we enjoyed a wonderful year together. This year I am borrowing your word from last year, "Nurture" as we will be welcoming a new baby in June. I want to focus on nurturing our whole family, not only the baby, but myself, my husband and our two teenagers.

My New Year's resolutions:
1. Health. I joined fabulous Nicole Maki's forum A to Z to get into a richer, healthier 2010.
2. Balance. I need to juggle my time as a stay-at-home mom, wife, homeschooler and artist.
3. Share. I hope to be reach out to more people by joining more art-related online challenges, scrapping about more things aside from my family and enjoying myself in the process.
Happy New Year, Ali to you and your beautiful family! May your life continue to be full of blessings, love, happiness and peace!
*hugs*

I'm not 100% sure yet but I think my word is CREATE. I thought about doing "discipline" or "organized" but I really decided that I want my word to be more positive. I want to CREATE the life that I truly want. CREATE the relationship with my husband I want. CREATE the body I want by exercising more and eating right. And also CREATE beautiful things with all my wonderful scrap supplies. Today I'm staying on top of my cleaning and laundry so I can create an organized home and a relaxed feeling in myself. Then I will have time to sit and create with paper.

My word is CALM. So far my main action has been to breathe deeply and ignore the fact that the kids have been playing Wii for hours because in a few days routine will be restored and I really don't think it's going to leave them permanently damaged!!

I am in the process of creating a little collage canvas of my word. It is a fun process to celebrate my little word - celebrate!

My word was positive, and I'm going to start with changing my thoughts, and being more aware of what I'm thinking so I can stop the negativity before it gets started!

My word for 2010 is SIMPLIFY. One thing I'm going to do this year is simplify my memory keeping. I try to keep and document it all and it's consuming me so I'm going to work on simplifying what I keep and document for myself and my children.

One word for 2010 is THANKFUL, I'm going to be thankful for what I have: my family, my job, my friends, my faith and my health. I will not let the 'baby' struggle consume my life and thoughts, even though it is sometimes difficult with daily appointments and medications.
My other word (actually phrase) is LET IT GO... let go of the control, let go of people who are not making my life better, let go of having to do everything all the time!!!

I think my word for the year needs to be love. I need to find more of the love that is accepting of people instead of trying to change them into who I think they should be - my kiddos especially.

By Golly Ali, these are such beautiful giveaways....just a drooling all over myself. My word for this year is "BE."
Be Myself.
Be Aware.
Be Present.
Be Joyful.
Be Peaceful.
Be Accepting.
Be Compassionate.
Be Loving.
Be ME.
I am really looking to live in the moment and to enjoy the present and stop wishing and hoping for the future...and just BE. Last year I found myself constantly wanting the next thing...looking for what's next, thinking about having more..instead of fully experiencing the NOW and being grateful for all that I Do have. BE!

Still working on my word for the new year... Hubby and I have talked about some family resolutions. One is that we won't be eating ANY fast food in 2010. I feel healthier already!

I haven't picked out a final word yet. I downloaded Christine Kane's document and need to work through it. I am leaning toward "release" which fits me in so many ways. Great blog candy!

My word of the year is 'consistency.' I always find myself starting a project, lifestyle change or whatever and then find that as time passes I lose interest and don't follow-thru. I am determined to not let that be the case this year. I decided a last month that I wanted to re-organize my entire house! My hubby got on board with me and we started our overhaul yesterday. We are making great progress and we will keep up the momentum and CONSISTENCY throughout the year :-)
